Thanks for the video. I just had a fly. Freaking amazing. I connected my Phantom 4 pro controller with a generic "android" USB to micro. Worked perfectly. Also had a go with the Mavic 2 pro drone (using Phantom 4 controller). Seamless. Question: How long does the trial last for. This does everything I need. I just fly backwards and forward and side to side to practice my muscle memory for when drone pointing in different directions.Thanks. My computer is an i5 something with a pretty good graphics card and 5 years old. No problem.

I was really looking forward to using this, but apparently it does not support the Mavic Air 2 controller. All I get is "Network Error" and it tells me to login to my account first - but, I'm already logged in. Maybe, someday, DJI will update their software to support my drone.

My computer specs are not good enough for the DJI Flight Simulator. I can't afford an upgrade? Is there any way to cheat (downgrading settings)? Is there another flight simulator that is compatible with my Mavic Air Controller?

Sorry about that, Just plug your controller into your PC. Usb cable into usb port, and the other end of the cable into your controller (Mavic Air 1 was microusb.. not sure if other controllers are the same) There is a list of compatible controllers on the website. Some newer ones aren't supported just yet.

Do you know if the DJI smart controller can be connected to the PC for the simulator game yet? Having a lot of trouble getting the simulator to work at all.

Only certain controllers are supported right now. I don't believe the smart controller is one of them.

How did you get past the malware error that everyone has been having? I can't seem to download it because of the issue. Do you have the Enterprise form or something?

I just downloaded it right when it first came out. If there has been new revisions of it, may set off malware detection. I still have this installed and use it weekly, and I get no notifications.

Most common error I'm finding is that the cables that come with the air are not of the greatest quality. Have you tried a different cable to connect with?

Mine picked it up right away with no issues. Im running an Asus Maximus X mobo (Intel) and used my 3.0 port. What are you trying to connect to?

@@Brad-zilla I'm using a NZKT i7 board with a 1080ti graphics card, 32 gig of memory. I also tried connecting this controller to my windows 10 laptop as well as another windows 10 and 7 system, same issue, windows will not see it. I also tried a Phantom 4 GL300C controller and has the same issue.

@@Brad-zilla I tried everything, if windows does not see it then the simulator won't. Something is wrong with the drivers for windows, at the very least windows should see it and assign a port. Seeing I tried it on two windows 10 machines and a windows 7 box, this tells me the drivers are not worth 2 cents. The support on DJI is worth about the same. If their drones were not so good, this company would tank...

Anyone know how to get the updated driver so the DJI Controller 2 can be used with this sim? I have swapped all sorts of cables and I can update it on the PC, but still not use the DJI on the PC, iMac, iPad and PS5. I did get my new Avata to work only with the new Goggles 2 and the Controller 2 on my iPhone and iPad. It keeps freezing on the screen on the iPad, but it works great with my iPhone 13 Pro Max with very little hick ups. Wanted to primary practice on my iMac using a much better simulator, but the iMac won't even see the controller no matter which cables I use. I have a sweet Simulator I purchased for my iMac, but can't freaking get the controller linked up. It will charge of course, but no software connection from controller to iMac M1. Any help would be great. Thanks.

According to the Sim FAQ, right now only Mavic Air, Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Advanced, Phantom 4 Pro, Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, Matrice 100, Matrice 600, Matrice 600 Pro, Inspire 1 Series, DJI Smart Controller, and Lightbridge 2 are supported. Maybe try the forums on DJI to see if a specialist can help you? forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=forumdisplay&filter=typeid&typeid=565&fid=129&srchforum=simulator I really have no idea why they wouldn't be able to support more controllers.

Hi Brad. Maybe is a silly question but how to connect my smart controller to the simulator? I mean I've installed the dji_usb drivers from the DJI Simulator folder. I'm using the USB cable, the controller is recognised by the PC, I can see it in the list and I can also access the photos on it. No errors, but the sticks don't control the drone on the screen. What should I do on my controller to let it know that I'm using a simulator, not a physical drone. It's still trying to connect to the physical one, asking me to press the link button. Thank you.

Which controller are you using? Only certain ones are supported right now. Flight Simulator supports the DJI remote controllers for the Mavic Air, Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Advanced, Phantom 4 Pro, Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, Matrice 100, Matrice 600, Matrice 600 Pro, Inspire 1 Series, DJI Smart Controller, and Lightbridge 2.

According to the DJI forums I found this : "Mavic Air 2 doesn't support DJI Flight Simulator software currently, but there is simulator flight in DJI Assistant 2 software, you just need to link the RC and the aircraft and connect the aircraft to DJI Assistant 2 via the USB cable, you will find simulator on the left side of the DJI Assistant 2." It doesn't seem to accept any input from my Mavic Air 2 controller... When connecting the controller to my Windows 10 laptop I see it say something about "Unknown USB device".

@@Brad-zilla Thanks very much. The simulator in DJI Assistant 2 doesn't look like it would help much. I was thinking of buying a controller for a compatible drone and flying the DJI Simulator that way. Currently DJi does not support Mac. Right in the FAQ for this it says "A computer with a 64-bit versions of Windows 10 system is required to run the program. To connect the remote controller to a computer, you will need a compatible DJI Remote Controller and a Micro-B to USB-A cable."

Hi Brad, it doesn't seem to be compatible with my Mavic Pro controller even when I try to select it from the setting menu. The basic controls work, but can't change camera or use the C1 and C2 buttons. Do you have to purchase the full version to make that work?

Hi Tony, No the Mavic pro controller is not compatible with this software just yet. The Mavic 2 are though. 3:45 in the video shows which remotes are compatible inside the software. Is terrible that again DJI and after all those years have not implement it for the consumer drones. How difficult do you think it would be to add the Air2S and a few other remote controllers? Not difficult at all.. It's just this lack of respect to their customers that keeps going on from DJI.

I totally agree with you. I'm not a representative for DJI or have any affiliation. But on the DJI forums we keep telling them they need to support this much better, and allow every controller to work with it.
