Best walkthrough i`ve seen. I have recently bought a Mavic-2-pro with smart controller. My supplier has a `walkthrough` video but not a patch on yours. As there`s no manuals as such that come with the product the only way I found until I saw this was to charge and power up controller which in turn requires you to turn on the aircraft to get all the relevant menus etc.... which of coarse is putting extra charges on your battery and controller! (if it makes a difference, I don`t know but i`m pretty sure for resale it might? So that`s why you get a big THANK YOU from me. The layout on the Phantom using the dji go app (9thApril 2020) Is so close it pretty much applies to my smart controller with the Mavic 2 pro. Great video THANKS AGAIN

One correction. Higher shutter speed does not create blur. It makes your video very sharp but the sharpness makes the motion jittery. Keeping the shutter speed at about 2xfps results in a more pleasing motion blur which is considered more cinematic.

Hi. We really enjoy and like your videos, especially as a small crew of Newbies here in North Jersey. Personally, I'm new to the DJI Phantom line, I have the Phantom 4 Pro, not the P4 Pro+. I was wondering if you have any plans on updating your video to reflect the newer Android version of the DJI GO 4 app for version 4.1.0 released this June 1st, 2017. They've moved so many things around in the Android app that it is very hard to keep up & search for things that don't quite match up with the existing plethora of DJI Go 4 app tutorials. Much appreciated if you could.

Nice tutorial. Another correction in addition to R. Shundler's comment regarding 180 degree rule. 24 fps is not used in other parts of the world. It is standard frame rate for film in the US. Europe would be 25fps for film. In US, we typically use 24fps for film look and 30fps or 60fps for News, sports, TV shows etc.

This was really helpful and i sincerely appreciate the time you took to put this together. I have a Phantom 4, just purchased in mid-Feb. Took me about an hour starting and stopping your video and cross checking my settings to what you have. Must be the version i have compared to yours but some of the screens were a little different, but overall, very close. I do have one question. Do the settings stay as I've set them? Or do i have to reset them again, again. If i don't adjust them for awhile, will they "stay" as I've set them today? Again, thanks for your time and dedication to helping the droning community.

+David Jelley First off, it makes my day when I hear that my video helped someone, and thank you for the kind words!! Regarding your question, I've had a mixed experience with the DJI Go app retaining the settings. It should save your settings, but sometimes it doesn't. It can be a little frustrating.

If only this was a COMPLETE guide to the DJI go 4 app. I've searched without success for information on the Flight Record portion of the app. How do you select a record for deletion, or assigning a star? Or just basic maintenance of the record. Evidently this record fails to record a flight once a certain number of flights have been recorded.

Just got my dji phantom 4 pro when shooting in video mode I can take a 15 minute video but it comes out in 3 segments like I started and stop the video 3 times but I did not and my laptop will not read the sd card any suggestions thanks
@JohnConrad7 жыл бұрын
+James Baublitz The drone does separate the files into segments, this is normal. As for the SD card not reading, are you shooting in h.265? If so, you will need to convert the files to a format that your computer can understand as currently most video editing software won't open h.265 files. Hope this helps!
@jamesbaublitz45797 жыл бұрын
Cool nice video thanks for the info.
@DFDuck557 жыл бұрын
It's a limitation of both Mac and Windows. They can't (easily) read files larger than 4GB. So the drone is splitting your long video into segments small enough your computer can read.
@terryandteresa7 жыл бұрын
You totally backwards on the expo settings. A more curved line dulls the responds. A straight diagonal line is the fast, jumpy setting.

I tried that already many times i download DJO GO apps 4.0 i use my i phone 6s plus still disconnected just bought this last friday when i open it and try to turn on to upgrade the firmware but it appears on my screen disconnected so how can i upgrade if disconnected.
@exmachinema7 жыл бұрын
Use the Mac or Win DJ Assistant 2 app to install firmware updates if your phone won't connect -- if neither connect you'll probably have to send it in for repairs.
@charliephantoms18397 жыл бұрын
Elmer Cuaton, If your RC has a solid green light it is linked with the aircraft. If it still shows disconnected on DJI Go app change your cable.

Read quick start mate ---- 2 or 3 pages full of pictures! surely even you can press a button! Why have you written to criticise? The man makes the best tutorial on running through the settings, as he says, "took ages - hope you enjoy" BUT NO! Some one - who thinks they`re at the level, have the maturity to fly a thing weighing over a Kilo over peoples heads (because he will!) and he don`t know where or how to operate the ON/OFF button! bet hes from, Dixy! ;-)

I wish DJI would quit "renaming" features and options with each update, like changing EXP (which by the way stands for Exponential) "Yaw" to "Rudder". So if you watch a tutorial for a previous version it's difficult to follow because the new version has renamed something. And wish they could keep the iOS and Android versions closer to each other. Most all the tutorials are for the iOS version, which always has features the Android version doesn't have, though they sometimes appear a version or two later... though sometimes renamed by then. Or the same feature is different in the iOS and Android versions. It's just confusing. It's like you have to relearn the app with every update.

FYI..there is no such word in photography as "i-so". ISO is an abbreviation (International Standards Organization, the body that rates color film speeds). It's more correct to say I.S.O. Also, taking the shutter speed from 60th sec to 30th sec, is a DECREASE in the shutter speed, not an INCREASE as you stated.
