I have been thinking of upgrading from the original mavic air, but lately I have been reading a TON of forums about mavic air 2 batteries melting and ruining the battery and the drones battery compartment, any thoughts? Your lucky mine flew 3 feet backwards in sport and hit a wall and fell 2.5 foot onto decking and it’s unmarked apart from the gimbal buzzing and no longer moves, it’s had to be sent to DJI 😔

You took it through those tests, oh my goodness. I’m sure your MA2 is seeing a therapist now saying, “I’ve been abused, beaten, water bogged, shot at, teased, and worst of all, forced to end my life. Yet, the restart button saved me. I guess I’m ok, Timex must have gone through worse.” Personally I would not do this to my MA2 but I vicariously displayed all emotions through this, including your wicked laugh. Thank you very much 😎. I’m new to the drone world but old to the video realm. Love the work and sitting with bated breath for more videos from you to learn of this new way of capturing life. Now just make sure you coddle your MA2 now, it’s been through a lot in this video. 🤟🤟🤟

I can vouch for the Mavic 2s ruggedness, I was filming over water without a spotter and as I increased height (was already 40 feet up) the drone went into a bunch of pine branches and totally lost it for about a second. I thought the it was a goner and foresaw it going in for the drink, it however immediately lowered altitude and stabilized itself with minor damage to the props. Am still flying with them BTW. This beast has earned my respect.

Great video. How about a crash test by flying it normally. I succeeded. Mine shuts down mid-air and crashed to pieces with no intervention and no obstacle whatsoever. But DJI says it's pilot error, so bring your money elsewhere.
