I’ve owned the mavic air since it came out. I Really enjoyed watching your video. It was very informative, I had already done 3 quick shots but not very often bcos I struggled to figure out how to get 2 the next quick shot to move onto the next one. U made valid points DJI does need to fix that!🤨🙄 so silly of them not to have updated that issue.

When I click on quickshot and then click on asteroid the drone does the action but when I go to album I can't see the quickshot!? Help! When I do drone or another quickshot I can see it, but not asteroid... Hrlp

I used asteroid mode the other day. How did you get it in the video to come back down and show you again? My video shows it going up and just showing the globe and not coming back down.

Great video, quick shots default to 1080p before hitting go you can change the setting to 4k. Get even more amazing shots.

Quick question. I know on the Phantoms it may be different but when you come down to land and your lets say 3 feet off the ground you pull the stick down and it lands and the props stop. If you are at a 100 feet and pull the left stick all the way down the props wont stop will they?? Doesn't it sense if it is near the ground?? Sometimes I want to come down faster but am afraid to try it?? Please help

You can do something similar to the circle mode using active track with a moving object. I have a video on that if you want to check it out.

If you click the icon on the left under QS (like dronie, asteroid, or whatever you just did for a QuickShot) it brings back the QS menu across the bottom so you don't have to continually go back to normal and then back to QS. Anyway, vids are great, thanks man!

Ease of setup and less control in Circle. It's more for just a "quick shot"

Also, POI orbits around a GPS position (and won't "get lost"). The "Active Track" functions use image recognition. Question (to Timothy): it seems to me that the Quick Shots also use image recognition. The point is that image recognition can "get lost" and then the whole thing gets wonky...

I really believe that this will be available on the Mavic Pro soon through a firmware update. Remember the other modes, Helix and Dronie? First on Spark and soon after on the MP. Its a temporary sale pitch for the Air IMO

Hm, could be, but I am using latest macbook pro, with 4GB gpu. It handles 4k no problem, the youtube playback quality I use is 1080p.

This is the only reason I have been going back and forth between pro and air. I believe there is a cinematic option which smoothes the pan. Mine is on its way, I will have to check. But I think it would be definitely something in settings to make the footage smooth. I also hear that ND filters help with that as well.

It can use the sensors to avoid a collision but only forward or reverse.

Mavic Air ia heaven to totally new pilot yunno. Dji Go4 should has the 'way ponits' features. The other featureis like camera zooming. Hope Wi-Fi connection won't fail whenever flying. Why don't dji develop a conventional remote control for the mavic pro/spark/air so that a pilot could has 3models affordably... Mavic lover.

So I tried the quickshots. Was excited to preview the shots but low and behold, after inserting sd card into computer I found the sd card to be blank. For some reason video an pics won't transfer to sd car???

Did they save to the Mavic Air's internal storage? Connect a USB C cable to the drone and then to your computer and try that.

Timothy Sunday Thanks, that was issue. Didn't relize that the internal had to fill up first. Did not see anywhere if you could manual switch from SD to internal. All is good. Love your videos by the way. Very informational.

Thanks Timothy for the great review! I love the Boomerang & Circle QuickShots the best but, they're all awesome. Is it possible to set the distance for any given QuickShot? Also something that would really be sweet would be whatever QuickShot you're in that it would repeat itself automatically. This would give you time to place the remote out of sight but of course, close to you for different shots. The only thing that concerns me would be the sideways motion without sensors but, by flying smart/safe and being aware of obstacles it shouldn't be a problem. I'm within inches from pulling the trigger on this drone. As always, thank you for your great informative videos. I look forward to every one. :)

Sure thing Raymond. I agree with the desire to have them run on "repeat". I feel like that would be an easy software update in the future for DJI. Also, You can set the distance for Quickshots, they are all set at whatever point you start them at.
