This is a 3S battery, so the 3 cells are in series, so they always "work together", they don't get "priorities". The video was very painful to watch, but I wanted to see one open as I have a project that will require modifying one, so, thanks!

Fantastic video and didn't waste any time playing around with tabs or screws. Now I know what the batteries look like. And he gave out the part numbers on the batteries which I am sure can be found on Alibaba. I have 3 new DJI Mavic Pro batteries and all dead and won't take a charge. I will admit I was laughing so hard my guts hurt. Thanks for the great video and cheering up my day. G

I've got a MP battery that's coming up with the same error. The MP is a backup drone and hasn't been flown for some time now. I was going through the batteries checking and found the Battery Error when it was flashing the #2 LED while charging. So found your video. Was going to get rid of the battery, but your idea of using it as a USB charger was great. I'd totally forgotten about that ability! Thank you for extending the life of a MP battery over here in Japanland (while yours died for our entertainment).

Dude, there are screws on the circuit board..... didn't need to rip it apart. BUT even though...I completely destroyed the shell.... you didn't, kudos to you.

Good Lord.. Teardown? You mean tear up, right? seriously.. you could have easily opened this battery without destroying the shell. Pretty ham-handed dude.

Not sure of the exact configuration but somewhere in all of the circuitry is a balance board to keep the cells charged at the same voltage and overcharge and over discharge protection. There should also be a memory chip in there too, after all they are called intelligent flight batteries. Interesting vid. Do you think you can put it back together and make it work again? lol

Thanks mate, you're right they should be intelligent, not 100% sure why it stopped working with the drone as the other two were being charged the same. But it was hella fun tearing it up, though I probably wouldn't want to mess with a battery again, and YES it is very simple to put back together and get it working again... All you need is to play the video back in reverse. ⏪ How are you finding your new drone by the way?

Which one? Lol. I just got a Mavic pro platinum and love it. The phantom doesn't get as much attention as it used to but they go everywhere with me. I hope to upload more content when I upgrade my ISP. Cheers
