Another gimmick pusher for DJI! A dime a dozen! The CCP must really appreciate you. Why would I by DJI junk heading into the Winter, rain, dark lighting, and unemployment all over? Why would i spend my money on this? Anyone can get drone photos. They are cheap as cel phone photos! Worthless thanks to the greed and exploitation by DJI.... they have made aerial photos cheap. Cheaper than the mini.

I know that the thread for the prop screws on the mini two are different. I am wondering if you took the new props from the mini two and using the proper screws for the mini one you could put the mini two props on the mini one. I suspect that the slight improvement in forward speed on the mini two is achieved due to the stiffer props. That said if the mini two props do work on the mini one that would be a great upgrade for anyone who has a mini one.

The Mini slowing down when pointing the gimbal 90 degrees down in video mode is a feature as stated in the manual to improve stable shooting but if windy the feature is disabled to improve wind stability. (page 11 of the manual)

I like that it has 2 photo format options - jpeg for easier image processing and quicker posting, and raw for higher quality image files and more freedom to edit pictures. In short, Mini 2 is good for beginners and pros alike.

I work professionally, I have a mavic 2 pro, but I just ordered a mini 2 to keep in my every day bag for random fun shots, and to use in special situations where I'm worried I might crash my mavic 2 (never crashed a drone so far fingers crossed). It's nice to have a backup and something smaller than can pull of riskier shots and fit into tighter spaces.

@@cplsanders69 Your last questions are more than I am capable of handling, without fear of getting something wrong. Weight of the drone seems to be the primary factor, as to whether you must register or not. Then it matters if you will make money off of your videos or not. I suppose it also matters where you are located. In the USA I believe it is a consistent application of the current rules. So I can only say I purchased the Mavic Air 2 with the intent to get into real estate video. And perhaps social gatherings and events. Mainly I wanted to get back into video editing, and creating interesting content. The drone provides a vantage point pretty difficult for the average cinematographer to attain, unless of course they use one. So figure out to what purpose you wish to fly your drone, than select the channels that will get you there. Thanks Bob for asking me any question, because really I'm not the guy to ask right now.

@@kevinwells4986 you did plenty of well for the question I had. I suppose I only need the Mini 2 for recreational flying and having fun with it. The Capricorn in me is telling me to make the drone pay for itself by doing some side gigs but I think I’ll focus on the fun in the hobby. Especially the headache I’ll have to deal with moving to Germany. The sub 250 drones are considered toys there so no regulations well for the most part for them. But once you move up the that 250+ drone (mavic air 2) you have to have a license and registration with their version of the FAA. Annnnnd you have to have a license plate or flame proof sticker. So I feel like I should get the mini2 and become proficient with IT. Then when I come home from Germany I will upgrade to the mavic (air 3/4) by then haha. But gosh can you imagine what those FAA rules will be like within 3-4 years when I get back haha. With real ID and all that jazz coming into affect soon. Anyways thank you so much for your time and I’m SUPER excited about joining this hobby :):):):)

I remember watching this video as I was going through trying to figure out which drone I should buy next. I had the 520s and the EX5 and I just wanted more out of a drone. Wind was definitely an issue with the mini. I've lost so many opportunities because it was just a little too breezy. Also the "motor speed error" issue is extremely annoying and all too frequent, no matter how carefully you pack the blades. Nice to see they addressed that issue with the Mini 2.

Just got mine for my birthday. I was concerned about the ability to fly it. I’m still a little shy with going to far with it. Still learning the controls. Great Vid! Keep up the great work! A word of CAUTION: Make sure your smart phone will work with the DJI App!!! When you go to the download page from DJI, check the phones it works with. My Galaxy J2 is not "smart enough" to work with the app; now I have to resort to my ipad mini (which works - however is not optimal for a "toss and go" drone). I also own the Phantom 4 Pro, bought the mini for size convenience... now I need to get a new phone... ugh. Waiting for the ipad mini adapter; haven't flown the Mini 2 yet. Adapter arrives tomorrow and so does the week-long "atmospheric river" of rain. Figures. Blue Skies and Tailwinds!

I just got a Mavic Mini yesterday, but am not allowed to open it until Xmas, but after seeing the upgrades on the Mini 2, especially the ocusync 2, and given I live in a more populated area, I may now see about returning my Mavic Mini before I even open it and get the Mini 2.
