ISO measures the sensitivity of the image sensor to light, it's not artificial light. Look it up if you don't believe me.

As a person who is fairly new to drines my 1st was a younger Typhoon. It was big and a little intimidating to fly as well as short battery life. I came across a great deal in a DJI Mavic Mini and thought it would be def worth the 350 buck being the fly more pack given the batteries and extras. I let it sit for a couple of weeks still a little intimidated to start experimenting and flying for fun. I originally bought my 1st drone as I pay 300 bucks for drine footage and my photographer always looked like not only did he enjoy earning a frw hundred bucks in 20 min but was really having fun doing it. He told me go DJI and check out this channel on KZbin. So happy I did as this BY FAR breaks everything down to he understandable and really delves into the features. You can also see dudes passion for teaching. Awesome!!! Now I am full blown addicted and am looking for the best accessories from parabolic range extenders to lens filters to getting everyone's opinion in the caps for the motors. Living in the Gulf Coast and Haveing inkaws that ki e in the Frozen tundra in the Woods of Minnesota I am looking forward to getting some cool stuff. Been super busy with work lately and really want to get batter at this hobby and maybe graduate from the mini but its a pretty awesome little drone. Thanks for putting together such an informative video and I look forward to checking out your other content. Any advices as far as accessories is himbly appreciated. Keep up the awesome videos. I am a subscriber and will be watching/learning 💯

You do the best tutorial because of you're low keyed demeanor, you don't go a mile a minute, and you take time to explain what each menu item/function is as you go along. I've been using the DJI App with my Mini since January and now working with it with my Mavic Air 2 and I've a few things that I didn't know about the DJI App. I don't need to see speed tests or range tests; I just need to know how to use my drone effectively. I'm hoping you'll cover the Quickshots, etc later on. Thanks!

Thanks i bought my Mavic Mini the other day and this is by far the most helpful video i have found about them. Every one seams to be only doing distance flights and comparing it to the Mavic pro and what this one has not got and not showing you what it can do. I did not know about most of the settings for the camera and how to use them and the editing software that's in the app. im coming over from 250 racer drones to this amazing little quad so i can stick in in my bike bag so when im out some place nice i can send her up and get some grate video and photos. thanks for the video keep up these grate videos you have got yourself a subscriber.

Hiya, you might find my experience with my Mavic mini. interesting. Lost it, two weeks + my own stupid fault. Landed on a roof, been rained on, etc.etc., Was able to get it back and clean it up, some of the screws on the legs showing rust, had a sore nose where it had hit a chimney pot, one prop blade damaged. Replaced the prop blade, charged the same battery it had crashed with, AND it flies !! Not tried RTH and stuff yet but..... I must have a Super Mavic Mini. So if yours has a disaster guys - don't give up on it. Love your videos, always , always a great help. Thanks.

ahhhhh you do realize that 16:9 is the SMALLER photograph right? the "SENSOR" on the camera is 4000x3000. 4:3 is just the ASPECT ratio. not the image size. to get 16:9 the camera "throws away" data on the top and bottom so 4000x2000 (or something like that) to get the 16:9 aspect ratio. for MAX pixels you WANT the camera in 4:3 mode so you get ALL the pixels it can capture. then you can 'crop down" to 16:9 in post as you see fit. (this also gives you vertical "wiggle room" to select which part of the image it lost in the crop) so 4:3 is max resolution you crop later. 16:9 is LOWER resolution it handles the crop for you insitu.

After ten days of ownership and perhaps fifty videos watched, yours was the first to relate the histogram, the exposure warning and the EV settings. Your menu-based approached is sound and thorough. I was last a photographer in the mid-70s. Concepts such as a shutter speed of 1/8000 boggle my Yashica 35mm parallax-inculcated mindset. A little less now, thank you.

Timed shot isn't Timelapse - its a timer you set before the drone will take a single photo. It allows you the time you input to get yourself ready Infront of the drone or to orchestrate a group shot for example. Thanks

It shows the voltage in each cell of your battery. They are all supposed to have the exact same voltage ideally. If your voltage is off between each cell by point 0.3 to 0.5 or more That's a strong indication that your battery is going bad. Thanks for asking Happy Flying 😎

I just got my mini the other day. I've flown Phantoms and still own a Phantom 3, Mavics and Mavic Pros. I keep hearing the mini is for beginners. Not true. I love this little guy. It's so fast to set up and get flying and has a good bit of functionality. I can't put it down. IMHO DJI knocked it out of the park with this one.

He just means that is the "cinematic look" if you look at footage of sports the image is "too crisp" they use higher frame rates to capture movement without blur. 24fps has a bit of a blur to it.

droneXfactor I have had it up six times on two different days. I was lucky enough to have a 60 acre flying field to start on. This was my 1st time with a drone and the guys at the flying club kept telling me how good I was. I told them that I wasn’t that good, but the mini is that easy to fly. Great video! Highly informative and fun too! You have a new subscriber from Northern Virginia! I recently bought a Mavic Mini. I've taken it on one flight so far because my neighborhood and surrounding area is a no fly zone but I had a great time with it and even got a couple good pics! I had to travel pretty far to do the flight and didn't get the fly more package so I was literally in the air for 25 minutes and then had to quit. For any newbies out there considering this drone, spend the extra 100 bucks and get the fly more package. The extra batteries alone make it worth while.

I just wanted to say thank you, this video is so fraking awesome! Your style, and the information that you bring to the viewer is just awesome. I'm a marketing manager that handles all of the photography for my small company. I've learned a lot about photography in the last 7 years and now we are getting into using drones (super excited), but I come from a gamer background where I record things using a controller in "dolly" mode for precise movements. The typical mode 2 that you referred to is what I would call a "southpaw" configuration on a digital control scheme... It's been difficult getting used to the drone controls, but your videos have been ridiculously helpful.

I just watched this video. I must say that I am amazed at how comforable you are making a video; while your drone is flying above you at 170 feet! I have just started flying drones. I have acquired two Tellos for getting down my basics; but I am so anxious to get the Mavic Mini! I am a little reluctant to buy the Mavic Mini because of the flight airspace regulations ~ but I want one anyway, mostly because of the great camera (pictures and video) and all of the technology in this little drone. I am going to make it a commitment to watch all of your videos and thanks for taking the time to make them. You do some great work. Thanks for your time and effort. I'm a retired army Cobra helicopter pilot; but I haven't flown since 1988. I'm going to try to learn as much as I can from your videos and apply it to future drone flying and fun ~ with the Mavic Mini.

Loved this video so much!!!...just picked up the DJI Mini SE....you did a great job taking us beginners through the app...some things are different then the app I have downloaded....the one thing I do not see in my app is the editing feature after downloading a pic/video...all I see is a 'star' icon...will have to figure that out...Thanks so much for this tutorial....Had to watch is several times just to learn and try out these features...XOXOXO
