Thanks for the info on the new updates! After just recently getting my first drone: the Dji Mini 4K. I'm still a bit bummed that the Mini 4K's RC-N1C controller isn't compatible with the NEO.. Hopefully at some point that may change so it can. As much as I want a Neo, i do not think I'd enjoy using virtual control sticks on my cellphone to control it. 😔

@rifster123 I scratch my head at why they released the Mini 4k just this past April, yet they did not make its controller compatible with the Neo. In doing that, they probably loss many NEO sales that they could have had. Personally, I'm not going to spend additional $$$ to purchase a seperate controller for it. Hopefully at some point this will change, then and only then will I purchase a Neo.

I took my Neo out on the weekend and it was able to track me up to 32 kph or 20 mph. It kept up for almost 9 minutes.

Now all we need is the ability to film in flat profile and to have the drone remember, sharpness and be able to set these settings from phone. And yes, be remembered for quick shot modes.

I bought a neo fly more combo on Friday, with the new goggles N3. I can't tell you how it flies because of the weather we've been having. I do live in Europe. I would like to thank you for making these videos, they are very important to me, to educate myself flying drones. I also own a mini 4 pro. Do you believe they will ad the mini 4 pro to the list of drones that can be flown with the goggles N3?

Can you change/customize the controls for Up/down on either the phone or the controller so it operated like an airplane control, i.e., pull the stick back to go up and push forward to go down? As a pilot I'm always moving it the way I was taught and find it difficult to now have to operate the opposite way.

@tonygreve5504 set the Spotlight mode to photo in the app, dump the phone. Do ya launch and remain still for three seconds and it will take a photo.

Will a future firmware update upgrade the quality of the 4k resolution. I wanna buy the drone, my downside is only the quality...Also just thinking of getting the mini 4k.

I have the Mini 4 and had the Mini 2 and I now I have the NEO and I can tell you it's so funny to fly it. I'm just waiting to buy the N3 googles and remote. But it's a drone full of joy. You can fly it everywhere where you can't the other minis.

I have a mini2 since about 3 years and its image quality is still far far better than the Neo...I tried the Neo for a week but returned it...its camera is the weak link. Vids were ok on small screens but still images are awful (and mine were taken in bright sunlight with the RC overriding the Auto Exposure modes). For such a cheap price the Neo is still a great value, but don't expect good images.

Natural audio sounds better to me. Its a smaller range of filter; "natural" is appropriate. "Normal" should be called "Processed" - so control added horizontal; output added vertical. Love it. Cruise control works with controllers -just assign a button!

Neo is a Category 1 drone (if part 107 and remote id module). Is the camera usable in a professional environment? For example, flying during an outdoor event during the day?

How do we know if Neo is lobat when we fly standalone while on active track? You have no phone or controller to warn you that the Neo is draining.

Natural sounds better, even when the drone is close. I couldn’t hear the drone in natural mode. Turtle mode is the feature I want most.

Many do. If the motors/props are powerful enough. Should be, it can do easy acro, but it struggles a bit to flip.

Would be amazing to make the Neo compatible with 3rd party game controllers like the Backbone. It’s only compatible for the simulation Virtual Flight app not the Fly app unfortunately.

Same here. It won’t track satellites indoors and will say attitude mode and just land.

@@ericandaiviehudson2476 Does your NEO land even thought it has enough light indoors? I did several tests in low light with the NEO on the Ready Set Drone channel, and found that it does fine without satellites in bright light, but in low light, even with satellites, it died crazy.

my neo does not turn on :( squishy power button - no I didnt crash it yes the battery is charged - worked ok the first 4 times I used it total... then I traveled with it and apparently it got a tad squished on accident. The PB was VERY SQUISHY and never felt right...

It is unfortunate that the list of DJI Fly app compatible phones, doesn't include many models commonly in use in the USA. As a newbie I would have to purchase a controller with a built-in display, or upgrade my phone to a Google Pixel 8 Pro.

It is a good update. I tried it following me on my electric scooter and it kept up at full speed. Around 30 km a hour. Now I hope they can tweak out the sensors and gps so we can fly in a bit lower light and inside. Mine seems to go a bit crazy if it is a dim cloudy fall day. Once 4' Oclock rolls around I have to put it away. Which kinda sucks. Also I am a bit worried about the winter. I sure hope this Drone can fly over snow or it is going to be a seasonal drone for lots of Canadians and Americans. Combined with all the other limitations , I think people may start second questioning if it is worth it or not. Even at 200. My original Mini can fly at night, over water and in snow. Soooo. Yeah. Fingers crossed Some of us don't have to put it away all winter.

I have this drone since 5th Sept in fly more combo and huge disappointment. First of all, I had to D.I.Y. a set of 3rd party props not to be so annoyingly noisy. 2nd I fly DJI drones with drone mask, because they are not compatible with any goggles. Using the RC n3, the max speed is very limited. max 30 km/H in sport mode (spark, mini1 50 km/H), always on EIS, which I don't need. The GPS underperforms a 15 years old entry level phone, just like the VPs, which is worse, than a Tello. In Europa if you wanna sell it, count with 50-100€ less. To buy the whole FPV setup (goggles and fpv controller 3, not the junk motion controller) you are over 600€. For this money you can get 2 beginner fpv RTF kits .
