A mistake that I have seen many new players do is to stress themselves when they can't keep up with notes. That makes your hands tense and drains your stamina completely.

1:36 Do these keyboards grow on trees or something? I swear I have at least two of this exact model in my spare drawer.

One of the reasons why DJmax is so great is because it caters to the control which limits your input to two thumbs, with all the songs (4-6B) being tuned to be as appropriate and challenging to that specific setup. Once you added the keyboard, damn what a loss, you could play every other PC music game and it would be all the same. Unfortunate

After playing almost all the DJMAX Games, I would really recommend: 1) making the song just fast enough to see the note and recognize it while the notes come in the middle of the screen (x3 is just for most songs) 2) Play the easiest songs first, it would be better if you liked it. Pro's will still play easy songs to calibrate their precision, so don't think easy songs are lame. 3) A way to become better is to not spam a single song but to go through a range of songs to improve your motor reaction skills. Doing it this way will make you adapt faster to new songs. 4) Arcade will train your ability after you finish your "tutorial" in freestyle. Trying to pass the fourth song would always be the best new player challenge. Hope this helps to motivate you to get better at this awesome game.

You can turn the BG off and lower the brightness at least, I swear I can't get through some of the songs from the older games without it or I'd go blind

when I Play a song (in any mode) there is no video in the background, only a still image, any idea how I can make a video appear like the game play showed in this review?

Thank you much for this review, i got the game last night (US released) and was hitting my head against the wall trying to figure out how to play effectively...they game doesn't have any tutorial so I was lost. Your video help me understand and I wanna give it another shot now...but Im still itfy on the controller...after just a hour my thumbs were hurting like crazy....is playing on key board really not recommend?

I have the same problem with the buttons,I've only played 4 button mode so far and will probably get used to that first,I'm sure with practice the buttons will start to feel natural but it is a weird layout

I gave up on Respect after a few hours of struggling as you did, and then came back to it a month or so later, bumped the difficulty down and just kept going at it until it all clicked. Honestly even now, with nearly 300 hours played, I still screw up if I think about what I'm doing or where to put my fingers, you've just got to kind of give yourself over to it - I know that's completely unhelpful but that's what I did!! I guess my advice is 'keep at it'. Playing on the keyboard is fine - and actually probably better for trickier charts in the long run - but by the time my adaptor came I was finally clicking with the controller. Good luck with your DJMax journey, it's so fulfilling when you get into the rhythm.
@doughblame28556 жыл бұрын
Just wait until you try 5B - that mode still makes me mess up, way more than 8B. Because two buttons act as one input, the game constantly challenges you with these puzzling note charts that ask you to realize which button you need to press to hit the middle notes whilst also tackling notes on either side. It's more like a puzzle game than a music rhythm game, just at really high speeds :P I still hate it.

The game is meant to be played on the DualShock4 controller. There are people who can PP (perfect play) the hardest songs on the default controller with the default layout. It all comes down to practice and getting used to it. Here's the invite to the DJMAX discord server for help and chat, in case you aren't there yet: discord.gg/HH7JByb

I just bought the Game and all dlcs (19 dlcs i think) it said i can reach like 615 Songs now :D The Game is amazing, the only thing that drives me crazy are those spin the sticks thingies. I spin the Sticks and it said that i miss it midcombo. It sees that i give the right input, but it dies down after half a second, even though i havent stoped, causing so many Maps to fail :/ Well the highscore and max combo to fail :/

I got to say! djmax respect v is amazing and fun but I'm sure not a fan of the force online for this game for the pc version even when this game has a single player mode. Which isn't such a good idea to do that since the game could either shut down or your internet could go down at any moment while the dlcs themselves can be very costly Even for a game that cost about $50 but of course the smart way to buy those dlcs is to wait until those dlcs go on sale which can be a smart choice though.

This looks a bit better instead of Hatsuna Miku games that have the notes flying in. I have the problem with the flying notes with things moving in the background and I do like Miku’s songs.
