I think the only thing i would do aside from having different tires and rims is add a counter balance either way great work
@sammym.belfastchild4 жыл бұрын
Yup I have to agree , they seem a little front end heavy ... been thinking of adding a tape on mag wheel wieght (S) in the fuel cell at the rear as it dose come apart just for that reason I'm sure ... and that far back it might only take An Oz. or two or less . This might get it to touch down more to the rear than always Nose diving... 🙄 😎 TC and RC on!!
@_blood_moon_proto_15004 жыл бұрын
@@sammym.belfastchild i am quite a fan of tamiya and adding counter weights is very normal as depending on the setup and terrain say rally that is mostly tarmac the you would if it is tt-02 then you would want a central weight balance if it was mostly dirt or gravel then you want a more frontal weight balance and if its a lot of straights on most terrains then you want a more rear weight balance it is more fun when going off road to have an adjustable weight balance not just for jumping but also cornering and affecting how the vehicle puts power down adjustable weight balance is also very useful for rock crawling and rock bouncing and is key in small scale formula off-road though that reminds me i will need to get some weights for both my wraith and my upcoming tt-02 project oh and for trucks like this it may be worthwhile looking into tire based weights that means you wouldn't need to adjust your suspension all that much problem is finding somewhere that sells good ones in the uk since model sport has been trying to get them for years

These trucks are notorious for landing nose heavy, they have a very low CG but the bulk of the weight is forward on the chassis. Suggest adding some tungsten weights to the rear of the cage inside the tires, or some shit like that. Your friend is a great driver, this video is amazing!

I bet they are alot of fun, but they don't seem to handle anywhere close to as well as a buggy. I bet the DBXL-E drives like a dream, but you'll probably need a BMX track for it in order for it to shine.

It looks really good on the track, the way it tracks and soaks the bumps. The track looks very small for this size of vehicle, I assume it is a 1/10 or a 1/8 course. It would be great if they start to race stuff like this, I think it would be a great show.
@gpaje4 жыл бұрын
For that track, I would most certainly tune it for 6S or turn down the throttle rate to 75% if staying on 8S. As with all solid axle multi-link trucks, you need to maintain constant throttle during the initial part of the jump to prevent lawn darting.
@wolf167314 жыл бұрын
Almost like you are taking a page out of my book putting a solid axle on the track, lol. I'm doing it with the 1/10 Baja Rey and setting it up to compete with the 4x4sct class though! I have videos on my channel of my progress, but the biggest impact I took away from the platform is that its all about rear axle link positions! I haven't seen the Super in person yet, but I can tell you that Losi setup the 1/10 version up with a LOT of pro squat, great for bashing about in rough terrain to soak up bumps and hazards at speed, but not great at all for modern rc track use. It causes the rear end to not lock in as well as it should because its taking away from the contact pressure of the tires when you hit the throttle and it takes away from your suspension travel when launching from jumps. I modified my link positioning (1/4" lower on the chassis side upper axle link) to gain a bit of anti squat and it made a world of difference for the tracks.

Thicker shock oil or more restrictive piston. Good call with the lower rear.
@morgan198114 жыл бұрын
Firstly I like this truck and I see it having a mod following, something I really likes about this segment you did medic, showing the potential of the truck I don’t think it’s completely there, maybe mod to run dual shocks and a progressive springs it needs tuning which is good to, I do think the ubr has more travel on the front arms having more droop which would allow for more progression the weight of the truck to suspensions the trick here, bigger bore ? Twins? ( that’s what she said).
