Novak's draw was no cakewalk...but the way it unfolded was very favorable. Novak was meant to play top 10 Hurkacz or De Minaur in the QF and top 5 Zverev in the SF, but that did not happen.

Fatigue will be a factor, even if Musetti is young. Novak has played 14 sets and 10 hours, while Musetti has played 22 sets and 17 hours. If this match goes to a fifth set, I do not think Lorenzo will have the legs to hang with Novak. Musetti needs to win in straight sets, or in four sets.

Did Novak receive more undeserved hate than other players that are not even 10% as great? Yes Did he deserve more praise and love?
