Legroom in 2nd class PKP Pendolino is comfortable, better than most reputable airlines in Economy class. I'm 182 cm. Another bonus - only the 2nd class has the so-called a quiet carriage that is perfect for relaxing.

Just perfect ;) Price is the same as for 2nd class. Hello my friend on the railroad! English and I are not in the best of relationships, because I don't know him well and that's why I avoid leaving comments where I can't in Italian or in my mother tongue. I haven't watched the video yet, but since I noticed that TKL trains no longer appear anywhere on the Timetable in Krakow, I wanted to ask you if they have been canceled? It was never clear to me whether it was a traffic (I find it hard to believe) or tariff category. From the various video journeys by these trains, I realized that they were similar to the category of "rapid" trains, but I didn't go so far as to look for answers in theory. If you know anything about this, I'll be glad to provide me with more accurate information than my conclusions. Thanks 😃 in advance and now I'm going back to your trip in ETR 610 (it's certainly not called that in Poland, but we understand each other). Greetings from Belgrade. 😃

Not so cheap, Czech trains are cheaper, but 2nd class in Poland is much better. But mandatory seat reservations on most of the trains are really annoying, it's very different traveling than I am used to from my country. In Poland all tickets are for specific trains, which is annoying, in my country I buy ticket and pick any train I want.
@yarpen262 жыл бұрын
@@Pidalin Really? I traveled quite a bit with ČD during my vacation and every single intercity ticket I booked had a specific train assigned to it. Not the commuting stiff of course, but it works the same in Poland.
@yarpen262 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don't think the 1st class coach on EIP is worth it. I often manage to get the 2nd class between Gdynia and Gliwice (basically cutting through the whole country) for 129,00 or even 99,00 PLN and while I do admit the seats are somewhat less comfy, that's about it. The free appetizer is fine, but small. The coffee's good (they used to serve it in 2nd, too, up until a few years ago), but the porcelain cup may take a while before it's taken away and unlike the paper cups, you can't really get rid of it until the personnel come to collect. And of course both classes have the same useless steel back seat pocket that not only does not hold anything thicker than an e-book reader, but also isn't transparent in any way, increasing the chances of you leaving your stuff behind by accident. That's the only aspect of these trains I find inferior to regular cheapass InterCity trains. What a dumb idea, geez... Fun fact: for a long time Pendolino trains lacked Wi-Fi because PKP forgot to include the proper clause in the contract with Alstom, which made any subsequent independent installation of a router constitute a breach of the warranty. It took them ages to reach an agreement and it was the butt of numerous jokes how these trains are shiny-looking crap that wasted taxpayers' money (didn't help that they experienced numerous technical issues during their first two years of service, causing delays). Now Wi-Fi there works great, especially compared to regular InterCity, which often do have it, but... not connected to the Internet.
@Pidalin2 жыл бұрын
@@yarpen26 Ofcourse, when you want to use some long ride better trains, than seat reservation can be mandatory, but it's not standard in our trains, that's pretty much thing only in pendolino and few other better trains. In Poland you need ticket for specific time and train even on commuting routes. I was traveling from Kraków to Tarnów and ticket was for specific time too, no seat reservation needed, but ticket was for specific time. You can buy such tickets here too, when you want lower price, but standard is flexi ticket, that's what most of people buy, on many routes there is only flexi ticket available, so it can happen to you that train ride from Prague to Pilsen (with ticket for specific train) can be actually cheaper than your commuting village train with flexi ticket. Today, we use PID zone tickets a lot around Prague, which is mostly more worthy than tickets from train company, but you have to know zone system and you have to know how long time that ride takes. When I want to go for something to Prague and I am returning immediately, PID tickets can be very cheap because you can even return back on same ticket, for example to Prague from my village I need 8 zones ticket which is valid 3,5 hour and cost 80 CZK, so I can go to Prague and back for 80 CZK when I am fast, same route with ČD ticket is for 150 or something, they increase prices twice in year so I don't even remember how much it is right now.

Velmi dobré Pendolino, letos sem se tím svezl poprvé a mohu hodnotit velice kladně. Jezdí to i nebývale rychle (přes 200km/h) a přesně.
