It’s fun to try new things! Did you find this interesting?

First, thanks for your instructions. Your stuff is so helpful!!!. You have solved my biggest paradox. Every preset instrument has reverb which, when combined, creates mud. I have struggled with eliminating mud. You are the first person to have solved this. I can literally turn off reverb in all my instruments and put them in one room simulating a studio. You have changed my template forever. By the way, the song is great.

Also… try this method but remember to keep trying others as well. There is no one size fits all in music so add this to your toolbox and keep searching for more! Good luck out there!

Great tutorial! Damn you can get a sound to perfection without any doubt of excellent quality, a sign that: "You did your homework" (I'm Italian and we say this when one knows how to do things properly). Thanks for sharing 🙂👏🏻👍🏻

@@itsdjQuasar Just wanted to ask if maybe some day could you somewhat do a video based on 808's ,I'm a reason user I've been for some years now so literally my go-to technique is by loading a wav inside NN-XT/NN-19 but everytime my 808's always sounds weak...so are there any tips you could share on that by the way I'm still using Reason 7.1.1.

Try setting up the reverb on the master with mainboard sidechain then select preReverb on the channels you want it on and dial in to taste on each channel. I used this setup and it works perfectly.
@itsdjQuasar2 жыл бұрын
Ooh a different way.. I’m having a hard time following, though. Add a reverb as an insert on the master and then what next? Thanks for commenting!

Great suggestion for both the technique and Warren’s PLAP channel 😎 It does have a particular classic feel and would be accurate of course for orchestral simulations too, I often wonder what the old producers of the 70s would make of the new clean and super intense sound of modern music. I think reverbs have transitioned into being part of each sound, especially with so many synth engines including reverb as part of their inbuilt parameters.
@itsdjQuasar2 жыл бұрын
I’m sure the old producers would find our modern taste to be quite displeasing. Haha. Your right about us transitioning to reverb being used on a per sound basis. We’ve gotten used to a really artificial sound. Sometimes we are just doing too much. Then again the soundscapes we can create now…. Thanks for your comment!

Can't figure out why your channel hasn't got way more views. I don't understand, so.

Sweet!! This is a very nice way of sending stuff too sends in Reason .. 🙏😁 I also tried to use an MS delay (TS-1 Time Slider RE) instead of normal delay also works nice... And sending this way you can also put anything before the reverb per channel, like an eq, to let only the frequencies you want to the verb.. Thanks Quasar!

Your welcome! I have that TS-1. It’s pretty handy at times. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks! I saw the same video and was wondering how to pull this off in Reason. But I'm confused .... what's the alternative? Are you normally putting different reverbs on every instrument? wouldn't that make it sound like each instrument is in a different room and sound incohesive over all?
@itsdjQuasar2 жыл бұрын
I don’t send to different reverbs on every track. It is common these days to use two or three, though. Mixes are more complicated then they used to be. I wanted to take a step back. The alternatives are sending to the same reverb using sends but you can only have one pre delay setting. (You can play with the depth of a sound with predelay) Or you can make multiple instances of the same reverb and use them as inserts. In this case all of the tracks are going into the same reverb. One instance. With different pre delays. Thought it would be interesting. Sounds a bit different too. Also, it’s good to look back at how things used to be done. Remind yourself of all they accomplished with so little. Makes me think about my process, at least! Thanks for watching!
@elya55932 жыл бұрын
Interesting but why not just put 8 of the same reverbs with different delay settings as send tracks and name it properly. So you can easy use it in the mix.
@itsdjQuasar2 жыл бұрын
Wanted to experiment to see if this would sound different since the produce like a pro guys were doing it. Although I didn’t end up comparing, it certainly seems to have its own vibe. Could be placebo. Just trying things out and sharing with you guys! Thanks for the comment!
