I have been a Najee naysayer since early last season. Still I gotta call it like I see it. Najee is elite at ball security and that is a need tomorrow.

@johnbruce40032 күн бұрын
Yes, Najee had 75 rushing yards against a terrible Bengals team, but DK left out a critical factor. He only had 16 carries. He had a TD plus 6 receptions for 54 yards. They’re simply not giving him the ball enough, most games. In 13 games he has 20 carries three times with a high of 21. Last year it was twice, and those came in weeks 17 and 18. I also find it amazing that DK wants to see Najee at his very best playing 3 games in 11 days. Out of all the playmakers on offense, who’s it gonna take the biggest toll on by far? The starting RB….
@chrisrobinson8339Күн бұрын
Most of his career he has averaged 3 point something per carry. You can't give him the ball 🏈 30 times with that average in this era. This year Najee is running better than ever. So 30 carries in a game would not hurt this year because he is getting good yards. Either way. Pay Najee.
@kentsturgill594516 сағат бұрын
Great points add to that the situations that he's getting the ball. The opposition knows exactly what's coming, and where. Not trying to turn this into who's better Naj or Warren , I want both , but Warren gets a much softer box with the potential for the pass or the run. Flip flop their roles and see what happens , Naj was the premiere 3 down back coming out of Bama, and he's gotten over 1000 scrimmage yards each year with some pretty bad O line play/play calling.
@jasonfirth11652 күн бұрын
I don’t know how we can still be drawing these conclusions about Najee. The amount of times he gets hit in the backfield is alarming. The amount of slow developing plays he gets called for him is insane. Then Warren gets a fast hold hitting play and people question why Najee can’t do the same with His play calls. One big example - the damn pitches…I can’t even say pitch OUTS cause sometimes they pitch IN! Give Najee some fast hitters and watch him go. Give him a hole and watch him destroy the 2nd level. Also, Najee does the early hard work to soften for warren to work his magic - and he is magic. Stop then najee hate

@yencha65242 күн бұрын
So you mean when jaylen is hurt and Najee gets the bulk load he runs for 100 but when he splits time with warren he doesn't like it's really not that hard to understand. There is no back in the league running for 100 on less then 20 carries every week. Not to mention since nobody ever does the defenses play different when najee is out there then when warren is out there so even trying to compare to the 2 doesnt work. They stack the box when najee is in and play pass when warren is in so clearly najee is gunna have tougher running. If najee got 20 to 25 carries a game he'd run for 150 on a regular basis but instead he sees less then 18 on average.

Is it wrong to compare their contributions because Warren sees different fronts than Harris does? Or is it fair to say Warren is more productive? If they switched roles (#1 and #2) would things be better? Why or why not? Personally, I’m not a big fan of Harris because: - I don’t think he ultimately lived up to #1 pick (similar to Edmunds) - He appears immature in interviews (tries to be cute/funny but comes off as immature/annoying) I think the Steelers would be better off spending his money elsewhere next year. Even if his replacement isn’t quite as good, I think they’d still be better off with a competent back along with Warren, especially as the o line continues to develop. I don’t think his vision and decision making is anywhere near warrens. And warren hits the hole much quicker. Najee relies too much on his strength. Kinda like working hard vs working smart. Anyways that’s my take but I’m happy to be wrong.
