Looking actually really good. This clearly is the Animated Prime a lot of us wanted during Animated's run. I don't personally go for 3rd party upgrade kits but this absolutely delivers and may be the final push I need to go in on Animated Optimus. From mainline Voyager to almost Commander, Let's go!!!!

now all we need is some 3rd party company to make a fully-functional Marauder Megatron! Transformers Animated designs are an untapped goldmine that no-one's taking advantage of! also want to see some 3rd party love for things like Animated Omega Supreme, Animated team Prime Cybertronian modes, Animated Sentinel with Powermaster Armor, a new take on Lugnut, the combiner groups from Rid 2015, too. heck, i wanna see some high-concept stuff akin to Iron Factory's Samurai line, we could have G1 characters in prehistoric-fantasy forms, knight forms, more Hearts of Steel, even crossovers like Devil's Due G.I.Joe forms, and even the wacky vehicles from 1987 Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line, i've seen some super-cool concept vehicles from the Rad Plastic artbook, maybe some of those could be adapted?

The only and I mean ONLY thing I'm upset about with this kit is the fact it costs twice as much the figure (especially for one I don't have a spot for in my collection, but this makes me want to make one)! Literally saw this on BBTS for $60 moments before getting your vid on my feed, but when you view it as a commander class equivalent it looks totally worth it. I agree DNA must be some Hasbro guys' side hustle lol. Thanks for the update!

Just picked up the Animated Optimus Prime just because the DNA Design upgrades finally complete the fire truck vehicle mode. Bonus Update: The set now includes translucent parts for the hammer, a battle mask, and a visor!

My two complaints are that its overpriced (all dna kits are), and i really wish they would give us extended thighs, the thighs on the base figure is already a bit short, but with the upgrade kit it's just ridiculous.

Animated had those weird proportions I agree. Since you can slide out the bottom thigh they could have made all new legs. Then that would drive the cost of this kit even further. I think it's too expensive
