That weapon storage is very clever. The head of the hammer looks like a capacitor or similar for the cannon. I assumed however that the variable leg length was intended to make the super robot mode taller.

The longer legs definitely help his proportions, I thought his legs looked weird and stumpy before. It's a nice upgrade kit! I didn't get this figure because I still have my original Cybertron Optimus, but if I had, I'd definitely grab this upgrade kit for him.

Got this set for mine, it's a great improvement. Especially with not having the big hollow sections of the cannons visible over his shoulders. The height boost is nice too. The weapons are a nice bonus, though I gave the hammer to Magnus instead.

I have been doing retail therapy, though I admit I jumped back into collecting about a month before the virus really hit the states. Anyway, Galaxy Prime just finished off my desired Siege collection, and based on your review I sprung for the DNA kit. Turns out Magnus is the father!

I’m looking forward to ordering my upgrade kit for my copy of the figure. One thing that is consistent with the figure is the loose hips. Mine can hardly support the backpack when I pose it but other than that, it’s still a solid figure. One thing I found was that he can easily wield the weapons from the upgrade kit for TLK Optimus Prime. Sword fits snuggily while the shield can go into the arm ports albeit somewhat loose

I love that they added the second knee joint in. It was the first thing I said about it when they first released the promo pics. I do plan on picking up the two sets at some point. I haven't yet because I need five at the moment. I did a custom Delta Magnus, Galaxy Upgrade Nova Prime and a Galaxy Upgrade Toxitron. It should be easy to paint the new parts for Delta and Nova but I don't think I can for Toxitron as I think I mixed paint for him and now don't have enough for such a large area. I also don't have time to do this anymore. I might just end up with one for Optimus and one for Magnus and leave the other three alone.

Seriously considering getting this kit along with Ultra Magnus. Both Optimus and Magnus are among my top 5 autobots and I love both Siege figures, and seeing how much these kits add to both is really appealing. I just have some concerns given that this would be the first third party mods I'd be installing. Seeing how simple it is here really helps, thanks Emgo. Gave me more of a reason to get them. Only thing I'm not so fond of are the sizes of the new weapons, as when I get both kits I'd be getting two hammers and two axes. The axe will go to Optimus and honestly it's a pretty good size. The hammer will go to Magnus, but it looks like a freaking judge's gavel. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Animated and Prime, but when Ultra Magnus wields a hammer it should be a huge massive war hammer. Ultra Magnus has Smashdown hammer mode equipped but it's still too small.

I got them because they looked amazing, but the material is flimsy and parts kept falling off and needing to be reattached. They’re more of a hassle than they’re worth.

After watching this review i order both sets the one for him and the one for Ultra Magnus the only thing that is gonna suck is that both of my figures have been upgraded by toyhax decals. Toyhax is gonna have to come out with a decal set for the upgrade kits cause they are gonna look weird with no decals on the legs and feet.

Can you still use the new knee joint when compressed? One thing I never liked about this mould is that the original knee joint is too high up on the leg, not the length of the leg itself.

The Ultra Magnus set lacks the cannon gap panels, and I think the weapons aren't painted silver. Otherwise pretty much the same from what I see.
