I love the simplicity of this list. Ive kinda figured some of this out by trial and error the last couple years and I was so close to gettinf it right this year. Season started off good ans then i burnt it with fertilizer. I haven't ever used that soil conditioner and it gets super dry in the summer here in Colorado so i will give that a shot and see if i can keep the rest of the lawn together through the dry season. I'd be curious to see you lay out a timeline of all these steps. Surely you dont do all those 5 steps in consecutive weeks so id be curious to see how you space it out. Great video!

Your lawn looks v good and your videos/message are clear and perfect. It looks like yours is a cool season grass. In Florida we had heat stress the whole of May and my water bill nearly tripled spot watering the lawn. Now that the summer thunder storms have begun the lawn has responded with a good growth spurt. Many counties including ours have fertilizer black outs June 1st to Sept 30th. SO we have to fertilizer by May 31st.

@@LawnAmateur What I do annually is Fertilize once end of Mar and then again end of May. The summer thunderstorms actually keeps the grass green. Next I fertilizer mid Oct and Mid Dec. In between I try to spray monthly a concoction of Humic+Kelp+Fulvic+Iron that I purchased in powder form (from Amazon). Also Fungicide and herbicide in spring/fall. Insecticide pre summer. The St Aug needs some pampering looks good but is also susceptible to disease and struggles if not taken care of.

Your backyard looks great! That's currently my dilemma- backyard is about 8000 sq ft and it's too much space for me to manage a complete kill off and reseed. It's just too much dead grass to pickup and discard. So I'm overseeding with a good TTTF/KBG mix and so far so good!-only mistake is not using enough seed and trying to be cheap during the April app- it actually ALL grew! Doing another one this fall to overtake what's there.

I follow you religiously and have had a much improved lawn. I'm trying to figure out if I've overfertilized the lawn. I did Scott's Turf Builder Triple Action on 3/30. I followed up with Scott's Turf Builder Halts Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn food on 5/11. Grass was plush and green. I was doing my monthly antifungal treatment on 6/1 and used Scott's DiseaseX. This is when I noticed a change. I had a lot of Poa Annua in my lawn, but it looks like it might have been affected. The few poa annua blades are coming up bleached. I'm also seeing dead growth beneath the green grass coming in. I'm perplexed right now.
