Calling someone autistic on the internet is generally considered to be insulting. Both the members of the panel, and the audience members, probably spend most of their time online. Someone at a Minecraft panel asks if they have autism, so naturally they assume that the kid might be trolling them and dismiss his question after considering whether he's serious or not. That's all there is to this situation.

From my experience watching Q&As, if I'm ever in a position where I host one for any reason, I'll lay down a few ground rules. Like, 1. just ask the question without telling your whole life story, there's a line behind you 2. no personal questions, like, don't ask a complete stranger very specific questions about their diagnosis in front of hundreds of people. 3. questions end with question marks, it should be obvious what you're really asking about. And so on.

Sadly, I cannot tell if a person has autism from one sentence, I do realise that it is a serious condition and did not mean it in an offensive way. I understand minecraft has a certain pull upon autistic children, with it's organised structure and creativity. I know autism is not a bad thing and maybe the developers could have handled the question better and the would have been flustered by the upfrontness of the question and not considered that this child may have been autistic themselves and not understood the impact of the questions he was asking. All I was saying was that if this kid had not been autistic (which is a possibility we might not know without talking to him) and knew the impact of the questions he was asking he may have been doing it in a way to troll. Sorry for causing you offence I was entertaining a possibility that came from his previous comment (it's easier to think less of people than to think more of them eg. his bravery for asking questions that are personal to him) rather tan looking at the bigger picture.

I would just answer the question. It's already very well known that autism can grant savant like abilities to programmers. They have better focus, endurance, understanding, recall, etc. There's a programming company where the owner specifically looks to hire programmers with autism. Putting that on your resume would get you a phone call. It's time for people to stop feeling offended about autism. Not everybody becomes a savant, I get it, but isn't that beside the point? I think they would have all readily answered if the kid asked differently.
