I am intrigued with your little ’annoyance‘ about the falsehood on China is not allowing people to celebrate Christmas. I can understand for someone who is lviing in China getting annoyed or even frustrated with the Western media negative campaigns to portray China in negative lights. Back when I lived in Shenzhen I remember Christmas as being the time where you give presents to each other and eat nice food, and only found out about Santa when I came to Canada at age 7. I guess a lot of Asian countries have this kind of Christmas culture, with more nice stuff and less lore.

Of course Christmas is celebrated in China but it’s not a public holiday, simply because Christianity is not a major religion in the country. Just like Chinese New Year is not celebrated as public holiday in western countries..
