I’m not a huge fan of crease protectors, but in their defense, if you find that a pair of your shoes happen to be too big they certainly help make your shoe fit a bit better.
@Thelunarraptor
@Thelunarraptor Жыл бұрын
Most shoes crumble or turn hard as a rock after about 10 years, especially if they have polyurethane in any capacity so it isn't too worthwhile to treat many shoes like investments unless its short term or you know the materials will hold up. While I understand not liking creases, I don't think its worth hurting your foot over something you can more often than not reduce significantly with a wet cloth and iron. Not to mention the side creases caused by the protectors can look far worse than regular natural creasing, creasing that often doesn't make shoes look all that bad. If you're trying to prevent creases you should only do it for yourself, If you do it for others you're failing because 99% of people don't give a shit, and the people who do are more often than not obnoxious and under 17 years old. Then there are those who do it to hold resell value, which is a stressful ass way to wear shoes.

I wear crease protectors. More my OCD than anything. In some sneakers it can be "uncomfortable" because I have wider feet. But those sneakers are typically uncomfortable anyway. Most sneakers I can't even tell they're there. You have to modify, not all are plug and play why alot of liners. You also have the option of the cushioned crease protectors from companies such as force shield, they do protect but not as well, but they are cushioned vs the silicon version.

They do work but typically I find that you cannot use them casually because its hard to leverage them via your actual TTS. When I plan to use crease protectors then it has to be a shoe that either a .5 or full size up, because its gonna be uncomfortable to rock them in your TTS so it pretty much means I will then have issues wear that shoe without crease protectors going forward. It works for me but probably not so much for everyone else.

I wear crease protectors until it starts to get uncomfortable

Idk from my experience they’re kinda annoying for the first days, but once u get used to it it’s fine, i keep using them for my dunks n afs, it’s not that i hate creases, i hate RANDOM creases, these crease protectors simply gonna let u have a single horizontal crease on ur toe box instead of having like 4/5 diagonal/vertical/horizontal creases, hella unaesthetic, so yea imo if u hate having thousands of creases n u could resist those first few days they’re pretty useful

I wear protectors and I never have a comfort issue. I forget they are in there. If they are uncomfortable you probably don't have them in correctly or it's probably not a good one. There are several ones out by different companies.

I have a size 10 pair of pure money 4s. I wear 9 or 9.5. And although less comfortable. Crease protectors make the 10s fit and not be huge

That does not protect your sneakers from creasing. It only slows the process and delays the eventual outcome.

Another thing to remember about crease protectors are most are made for Js and Dunks. When y’all wear them in other shoes it can be much worse. Me and my friend both wear protectors in our 4s and it kills our feet but when I wear the same ones in my dunks and ones I don’t feel them at all

They do affect the confortability but they work. If I can't get true to size and have to go up half or a whole size, I'll wear them and it makes all the difference.

Tbh if ur worried abt the crease on ur shoes, only worry on af1 crease cause of the thick outsole. The Jordan1 and sb’s are fine with the thin outsole and different compare to the af1 that has visible crease. . In my opinion the af1 is the only one that needs the crease protector cause of the outsole

I wear a pair I got on Amazon in my Lost and Founds, and I don’t find them uncomfortable. I had a thick pair I got at a sneaker store for my Military Black 4s, and those ones fucking sucked so I go without them. In some sneakers, I find they don’t really help. My Fire Red 3s are creasing in spite of having the same protectors as my L&Fs

yes, it works, but it's definitely uncomfortable. unless if ur jordan 1 or af1 or Dunks or something has a similar toe box , and ur size is slightly bigger, it shouldn't be much of a be big deal. plus, don't buy them from crep or any big shoe company's because they way overcharge for them. if u want them get them from ali baba fo like 4 ir 3 dollars.
