I did a similar ramble on storytelling in games. You touched on it while discussing Ocarina Of Time and Breath Of The Wild; the best game stories are ones that properly contextualize the games' challenge. Stories are necessarily seasoning for the gameplay, but yes, Ocarina's bitters really did enhance the gaming experience.
