“But think about how pointed those toes are going to be” as a response to a child in crisis asking to quit ballet is hilarious 😆

Just wanted to come here and say that I found good children from the Julia fox episode and I was hooked ever since. Can we just take a moment to let the fact that yall had Julia fox on your podcast sink in........tyvm. I binged the show on KZbin, and it is one of the very few podcasts I actually listen to/watch. I'm not just saying that I really only keep up with 3 podcasts. I just love yall and hope that one day I get to bump into yall❤️

You guys have this way of making others who feel alone in their plights feel so much better knowing we’re not. You both have such wise souls and you should feel so very proud of how evolved you are.

I think your stories can relate in so many ways to people. Obviously this is an amazing source for LGBTQ of all ages who are going through this same thing and it can massively help them feel seen and understood. Maybe even shown an alternative option that they might not have seen possible. but also i found myself relating super hard and feeling comforted by your words even as a straight person. I think people who changed themselves to fit in or be cool to avoid bullying is relatable to me and nearly every kid growing up. to say "hey, weve all been there, how embarrassing, lets laugh at it now and embrace that we can grow from that and not live in that space forever" is so special and im grateful i got to listen and hear your thoughts on it all

Very good conversation. I'm 34 and I came out around 18 to my sister but then she told all my family so I never had that moment of telling my love ones myself that I'm gay and to this day I'm not sure how they really feel about me Honestly. I know my mom loves me and that enough. It just sucks. Because if I had a chance , I would definitely redo that and tell everybody myself. And I'm single not by choice. I feel like because of my experience growing up gay in Texas. It still a struggle to feel safe in places because in the back of my mind. I keep thinking that someone, somewhere is going to attack me for just being gay and most of it is myself from trauma but some of it is the area. I'm also Vietnamese mixed so the usual racism added to the homophobia and yeah. All that to say, thank you for making this podcast. So that way we can have these conversations.

There was an ad when we were younger to “I’m coming out” where there were women showing their stomachs and the belly buttons were singing the song. Any one remember?
