I’ve been watching all of your videos for years. What did I miss with the water company? Are they trying to limit your watering? If so, let’s get all of us subscribers to kick in so you can get a well dug. 🙌 My triv patches finally got large enough in my front lawn (1300sqft) that I’m killing off the lawn in August, bringing in a bunch of dirt, leveling by hand, and starting fresh. Hopefully by the time the new grass is up and running after a couple of years Velocity will be more affordable.

I do appreciate that my friend. They have just steadily increased our base rate for water, going on 3 years now. We are now at $100 for the base rate. Unfortunately, not allowed to do a well on our property either, being in this subdivision. I'm working in the background on this, just haven't discussed it yet. I do appreciate it though.

@@MrFergusonLawn our water has been going up quickly the last few years. I’m curious for comparison…how many gallons does your base rate of $100 get you? We pay $12.72 for every 1,000 gallons. That’s up from $5.56 per 1000 gallons in 2020.

My father in law puts the ones that shout up and go back and forth, he has the ability to really dial them in where you can do larger areas, or skinny areas. Those sprinklers put out more then my irrigation does. I know I am running 4 at one time and he’s running only one.

What about some YM GreeneKick for the Potassium? Might be better since there is no nitrogen in it, and you probably don't want to push any top growth without irrigation. 🤔

I think you might be surprised by the recovery. I manage my neighbor's yard (everything but mowing and watering) and they applied no water last summer, just rain. It looked pitiful, all that beautiful TTTF I put down the last two years turned paper sack brown. I figured we'd be back to 8-10 pounds per 1,000 in the fall. Well as late August rolled around and we were a couple weeks from seeding I asked them to water once a day in the mornings for 7-10 days to see what might wake up and it was amazing the way it bounced back. Definitely not perfection, but we didn't need nearly as much seed for their yard as I would have guessed. NC summers are no joke but I've dialed my watering way back this summer to see how much I can save on water and still get great results this Fall.

Good morning Mr Ferguson. I’m doing the same thing this year. 3 years ago I put in 6 underground sprinklers using 3/4” black water pipe from Lowe’s. I was thinking it would take forever but only two days and I had my front yard covered pretty good. Not perfect but it keeps my fescue and bluegrass alive. I use the b-hyve Bluetooth timer which works from my phone anywhere I go. My front side yard I have let Jesus take over there with rain. What I see around my area here in the piedmont triad area is the k31 fescue will go dormant and rain will pop it back in no time. But my gci tttf goes bye bye’s for the most part. I’m at a loss as to why the old stuff is more resistant to dying in heat than the newer expensive stuff. Any idea why that may be. I know your dad has the k31 so I figured you would have good insight to this question. You’re a go getter so I know you could definitely do your own diy irrigation underground in no time. I believe you would be super happy with it. Have a wonderful day

Our baseline water bill in the area literally tripled. Wife wouldn't be happy if i watered the grass a lot. What's the point of buying top tier grass if one has to baby it? Going to cull the weak grass. Hydretain may be slightly beneficial but for the price and the results I would rather save my money.

Other opinions are fine, my opinion is that people who betray their country should not be honored. I don't care how long it's been going on. There's a lot of things that have gone on for a long time that have been changed for the right reason because it was wrong. Betray your country take arms against your brothers. Countrymen that's a problem. I'm sorry your opinion is so off base with what the reality is.
