Soooooo many post-baccs I looked at required the MCAT and every single advisor I had told me not to do this and I’m relieved that I didn’t. Don’t do it!!!

How do you know if a post bacc and smp is necessary? For example would u do one for a 3.5-3.6 gpa? 3.3?

Gpa is def not what you need to be working on with a 3.5, 3.6. A 3.3 can be overcome with a strong app, especially if your gpa has been on an upward trend. Below a 3.3, imho, is where supplemental programs enter the conversation.

Would you suggest doing an smp as a career changer? My BA is in psych and I don’t have the science pre requisite yet. My cumulative gpa and is about a 2.8 I do have a upward trend for my last year of college. I feel like a post will not raise my overall gpa to a number that will competitive enough so I am leaning towards an smp. However I’m thinking not having a strong enough science background because I’m missing the pre requisites will work against me? Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone explain what " rolling admission " is? not sure if i spell it wrong

Rolling admissions is like a first come first serve system where those who apply earlier are more likely to be admitted

I thought it means that they accept/deny as applications come. There isn’t a hard deadline to apply to.
