I think people assume that a black woman has a preference for dating white men when the black woman does not fit the “stereotype” of how a black woman is to carry themselves or how she speaks. I used to get the same comments even from so called friends and although I’m not opposed to dating outside of my race, I have never done it. It’s so crazy to me the things people can assume about someone else... either way I love your personality and channel! 💞💞💞
@jinxyouowemeasoda12374 жыл бұрын

Black girls who arent "typical" or "stereotypical" always get accused of only dating outside their race. I think its dangerous for other Black people to accuse other of such just because theyre not a walking stereotype. Its like folks forget that we're all allowed to be different.
@kurokaizen18892 жыл бұрын
I get that and I'm a Black guy. I'm only interested in Black women though but to be honest women like her typically only like non-Black men and when they're online dating are known to have things like "White boys only" in their bios etc. We as men just don't talk about them like women would if a Black man was to ever do that. Mostly because once a woman has dated out we generally aren't interested in her for anything serious anymore due to our history as I personally wouldn't want someone that's been like that with Black men so we do deal with it as well but we handle it different. I've seen it lead to some Black men just deciding to date other races of women instead as a result as well. We also get stereotyped by Black women and lets be real. The selfhate is real in some women like her.
@amyxmay36772 жыл бұрын
@@kurokaizen1889“women like her” boy please 😑, You don’t even know her. Just because she doesn’t act stereotypically “black”, she has self-hatred or avoids dating dating black men? I bet you as a Black person hates being stereotyped and put in a box, right? but when you see other blacks who don’t fit your idea of what a black person should be like, you start acting weird and making up conclusions. 🤦🏾♀️

I think when people hear introvert they assume that person lacks self confidence or something which is completely not true. People can certainly be confident introverts and there are lots of examples of these. You can also have extroverts that lack self confidence. I don’t think just because a person has a big personality on camera who is an introvert means they are playing it up, but maybe they are just expending more energy on camera and are more chill off camera to “charge” up.

I've come to the age of 25 also, and only in the past year started to accept the fact that no matter how I speak, dress, or act, people are always going to find something negative to say and try and stop me from embracing myself and who I want to be! The real kick in the teeth though was at my previous job, one of the 3 other black girls who I worked with in a predominantly white work place, had the cheek to call me a 'coconut' because I get on with everyone in the office and formed close friendships with my other collegues (whereas with her, her whole team forgot about her birthday, whereas her other colleagues receive birthday wishes and gifts throughout the year). When I decided to stick up for myself and say something back to her, I also decided to distance myself from her for awhile (not that we were close), and boy did she notice after a few weeks

Finding Issa Rae’s Awkward Black Girl back in the day, literally saved my life. I was so happy there were other black girls like me. It wasn’t something I saw in everyday life. I didn’t even fit in with my family 😩 I’m happy the younger black generations can have someone like you normalize being black and weird!!

@16:00 I’ve been dealing with this assumption my whole life- even from my own family. It’s just funny because my physical attraction is more towards darker looking people. And little did they know...I’m not even heterosexual. Lol! People just think I will end up with a white man because I “act white”. 🙄🙄🙄

I would love to see you diversitise your content even more. You should make an art video or a acting video. Or even a fashion or singing video because your great at that. Love you!! Also you remind me so much of myself. I'm black and a little strange too or at least thats what all of my family and my friends tell me. I literally showed one of your videos to my mother and sister separately and they both said. "wow she reminds me of you" and I was like insert: 'surprised pikachu face'. Just a gest for how it seems when you are a weird black person rather than the normal stereotype for black girls.
@lessahowell25504 жыл бұрын
The racial dating preference I think is because you are so quirky. I think this perceived preference is a part of putting black women in a box, any one outside of the box is “acting white” or “like white”

True, but are black men asked the same questions or have the same assumptions made about them?
@anissa23614 жыл бұрын
@@toomuchinformation Yeah Black nerds do, but because they usually do date outside of their race. They don't go for the Black girl nerds though and that's what confuses me.
@toomuchinformation4 жыл бұрын
@@anissa2361 Why would that confuse you?
@mylesanderson28614 жыл бұрын
@@anissa2361 Here's the deal though neither male nor female ever shows each other any choosing signals ever thats why they almost never date each other.

Its quite sad people assume such things. I've noticed this stereotype seems to be mainly focused in America. I (a black man) would never face this stereotype in Ireland, though it seems black Americans are a very stereotyping people. I've had countless of times where these Americans would say I'm white simply for my name, the ignorance! I truly hope Americans (in particular black Americans) learn to be more accepting of everyone and that not all must fall into stereotypes to be valid.

Comparing your hair texture to the spring things in pens, I felt that. I think I have mixed textures and density/thickness with my strands. Kind of annoying, mostly cool and fascinating. I also love how you just say “no” and really mean it. I love the transparency when you feel comfortable and yeah I just loved the whole video ✨
