How are the vetts. Have you done any racing. Miss watching you work on them. You helped me do a lot to mine. I miss my gas hot water heater. My new home we were forced to be all electric. But this home is 3 times more insulated all outside walls are 2x6 instead 2x4.

@@1947froggy update. I inherited a 1974 stingray (show car ) 454 4 spd with A/C . Im thinking the carb needes rebuilding. Gumed up. Ive replaced the fuel tank it was rusted out from inside. Never seen that before. Ive got it on roller wheels so I can move it around in my garage. Ive got a 40 x 36 detached with breeze way garage. Im looking at a another 2013 with 427 6k miles but the way says no or go back to work. Im retired now can't afford to play like I use to.

I hope you drive it after it's "tuned up". I don't think they age well just sitting, but a bit of exercise is good. See if you can post a pic. :)@@thomaswilson8634

Why not just sweat some copper piper in there and it would be done correctly.

Because making it all line up is a pita, why the flex connections were invented. TKS for comments :)

I am assuming you are not a troll, so a bit more. If a foundation sags or the wood box mine sits it, it puts HUGE stress on solid soldered pipes, like the filled heater weighs maybe 300+ lbs. Some local codes REQUIRE flex supply lines, think earthquake movement also, fyi. :)
