This movie was amazing and tbh I think this was a rare moment for Netflix I don't think they're gonna make anything good again for a long while bc they love cancelling and not promoting their good shows and films. They only promoted this film once when they released the trailer and then again when they released it just by announcing it and putting a do Revenge banner on Twitter kinda sad tbh

i love tara's character. she seems to be the only one from the popular friend group who actually cared about drea. during the assembly she was looking up at drea. when she and max were together in the house she was talking about drea and then, when max told her it was weird for her to still think about drea, she got up and left. she encouraged drea to attend the admissions party to, quote, "show everyone what a bad bitch looks like". and then she didn't just throw the remote away, she fried it. and i love how her voice changes from when she says "you love me?" to "fuck you max. we're over". and she didn't hesitate to dump his ass once she found out that what he did to drea was true. what a redemption.

If they'd been a boy and a girl instead of two girls their whole revenge scheme would definitely have led to the two of them falling for each other. Even without an explicit romance plot there, Drea and Eleanor have mad chemistry. I was also kind of rooting for them to end up together.

ngl while the movie was super fun and i enjoyed it, but unfortunately it was really busy. I wish they didn’t have so much like drea and eleanor both having different partners like i would rather they simplified it and either made drea and eleanor get together or neither of them have a partner at all. it was just very busy at times and they could have made it more simplified to be even better. less can be more

I liked the movie: it’s really fun and a good throwback to iconic movies like Mean Girls. HOWEVER we need to address the very antisemitic trope here. I’m not sure it was intentional but making a villain jewish (for no reason, it has absolutely nothing to do with the plot) when he’s media manipulative, wealthy, politically connected… that’s a huge and very hurtful stereotype about jews. And no one except the jewish community is saying ANYTHING.

I mean are you saying this movie is homophobic because a gay character does bad things. No because she did bad things for her own reasons, not because she was gay.
