Don't worry, the lady in the video is doing the splits wrong, your supposed to keep your hips in line. If you don't, they could be damaging to your muscles.

I always do the low lunge and half split before actually going into my splits, it makes all the difference between hovering just above the ground and actually getting into my splits. Thanks for the stretches :)

A tip for stretching is do these to kind of warm up, but once you've done these then go as far into your splits as you can like until you feel the stretch, and hold it for a minute, it helps you get it faster.

Just do ‘em everyday, stretch as far as possible and one day you’ll magically do it. I’m a floor sitter and one day as a teenager I just stretched a lot during hw breaks and one day I could magically do the splits. My friends were really surprised but I think also being obese probably added to that shock lol. I cannot do side splits though!! Idk if my anatomy is even meant for that. Kudos to anyone who can actually do that.

These really are great stretches! (Coming from a gymnast)- always do the first 5 stretches first before attempting to hold a split for a minute. You may get hurt….

As someone who has used these stretches when learning the splits, these work wonderfully! Some of these a hard at the start but you grow into them. But, remember to keep your splits squared, it might be easier but, more dangerous ⚠️
