Call Cuomo's office 518-474-8390 and ask to be transferred to a DOL rep. I got through with this a few weeks ago and told them that I was waiting 2 months for pay. In my case, My hold up was that they needed to documents for proof to work in the country. Once I submitted (emailed) my social security card and other documents I was good to go the next week, received my payments. Anyways, if Cuomo's office don't work, try calling the DOL number again because they recently changed their call center phonelines since last week for faster service, I have been able to get a hold of a few reps each time I call. Praying that you get your money soon, in God's timing 🙏💕

it takes a LONG time to process, but it did eventually go through. I'm not 100% caught up, but I've been getting processed. I haven't even tried calling either. Just applied, uploaded documents, and let the process work itself.

I'm in Calif and had no trouble using the paper mail in. Form. I originally signed up uonline and a mont later received a month of unemployment, then mailed in form. 2 weeks later I received 2 weeks unemployment, again filled out the form and Mai,Ed it in. Now it's been 5 weeks and still nothing received. Totally and tearfully frustrated. Numbers given to call and on line does not help

sorry to hear. yea, we had a crazy log jam backlog in NY in Mar/Apr/May, and eventually got processed. Not sure what the situation is in CA in terms of UI applications. but hopefully you get it worked out! Also join any CA UI facebook groups and you'll likely find others in your situation.

Hello so I need some help. I filed for unemployment using the new website yesterday and got to the "Submission Confirmed" page. However when I click on the Unemployment Services page the only links available are to file a new claim again or to fill out a 1099. I received a key bank card from the DOL, I don’t know what to do with it. It says I should call to activate, but I don’t know if there’s money on it because my payment history still says $0 and I recently received a letter in the mail saying I was ineligible for unemployment insurance because I didn’t make enough money in a base period and today I tried to log into my payment history and it’s not there. Also my account shows that my claims are incomplete and that I need to speak to a representative to complete my claim. So this doesn't allow me to claim weekly benefits. I've heard people say that when they get a call the representative helps claim for every week missed due to this message. But I also heard from some people that they did not review this with the caller, even though they had the same message. Should I wait for the call an ask if he/she will help claim weeks that were missed, or should I call and claim benefits weekly over the phone?

The phone call probably means they needed to confirm some info on your application. Until that piece is finalized, I don't know if you'll see the claim weekly benefits option just yet.

Yes it’s normal, as long as each week you’re filing. When the PUA is rolled out you will be back paid for each week at $600. Now if the state has your status as allowed you’ll be paid by the state as well equating to $600+state. My state has a debit card that is sent to you that you register online. This has created a giant logistics issue, hopefully they will update their(3rd party company) site to not require one.

Im confused about the "Ready, willing and able to work" question. The reason I am claiming UI is because I had to leave my job because I had to stay home with my kids since they closed the schools. So would that mean I was not "able" to work for all days of that week? Or should I still select "0"?

Totally confusing! But it means OUTSIDE of the listed (excusable) reasons due to COVID, you were ready, willing and able to work. Having to take care of a child due to closed schools is a valid reason to be excused. The answer to the question is "0" b/c if it weren't for having to take care of your kids, there were 0 days you were NOT ready, willing and able to work.

Session timed out mean you have to claim again until successfully. Check your payment history either Monday or Tuesday .

they have open hours like a regular store, so if you log in after like 7pm or so...you'll get timed out. if it's during business hours and you get timed out, it's probably b/c there's too many people logged in. so keep trying until you get through and complete.

It means there were no days that you were not willing to work. In other words, you were ready, willing and able to work every day...except you didn’t actually work bc of COVID related reasons.

Yes you will. You misread the question. 4 or more would indicate that that's how many days you could have worked and you didn't. Shows fraud if your trying to collect but a bunch of people are misinterpreting it as well. Your best bet is to try and call in and fix it with a live agent. I know some people that got through to a rep and fixed it but it's gonna take more time for you for this fault as they are going to have to dig up your files and reapply you.

@@kevin2009419 I'm sure you will. Just keep track of the payments to have proof that you didn't get paid while you weren't working. I know it's so hard to get to a live agent but stay positive and try try try. There is nothing you can do now than just answer the questions properly moving forward. Once things open up in the future or when you do get a live agent, that money is yours and it belongs to you

your comment was a while back, so I hope you've been able to certify since. but if not, the certification button shows up when they've processed your application. after that, you keep certifying until one day you finally get your first payment. eventually the backpay forms/certifications get sent and you fill those out. a few days after that you get backpay. just takes a while to process.

If you make over $504 it should just affect that week. If you haven’t worked the following week, when you recertify, your UI/PUA should pick back up again

i thought you could only file (online) during business hours, so I'm not sure how she was able to file at 3am. but either way, you can file the weekly claim beginning on Sunday morning, but if you miss it, you can claim later in the week as well.

I received my PUA after waiting about a month. They sent me back certification's e-document to sign a few week after that. However, I was not given an option to back certify for 4 weeks that I was waiting for the application. Weeks before my application was filed dating back to March I was able certify. While waiting, there was no option for me to do anything whenever I clicked on UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE button from the NY DOL website. During that time, I wasn't even sure my application will ever be approved. Is there anyway to rectify this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey man so I had another question I’ve been getting pay because I work reduce hours therefore I am eligible for benefit and I’ve been getting paid and I must put all my gross wages. I work at a Publix with reduce hours but Publix handed us 100$ gift cards but the thing is that they took out taxes. For example I work 20 hours get paid 13.85 multiply that and it’s 277 and including the 100$ gift card it’s 377 it’s added to my gross pay. Should I just put 277 or 377? I’m not sure because I had no idea they took out taxes at first and I put in 277 what is going to happen now?

i didn't call or talk to them. i applied on Tues, March 31. The Claim Weekly Benefit option showed up the following Sunday, Apr 5.

It’s still a cluster. Just be patient, or try calling your council, senator, rep, etc. some people report success in getting a response after that.

For me, what held me up for 2 months was that they needed proof of my status in the country that I could work. Had to submit social security card, work authorization card, and state ID (front to back images). I discovered this AFTER finally calling them which took alot of time being that they were hard to get a hold of. How I hold a hold of them: I called Cuomo's office 518-474-8390 and asked to be transferred straight to a DOL rep. Was on hold for a total of 4hrs but finally got through someone. They seen in my account what caused the hold up and told me to email them on the DOL website my documents. Received my pay the next week. I suggest to call Cuomo's office or try calling the DOL number again (they are picking up faster now, since last week).
