Many of us ride alone a little bit. Some think it's too risky, and I understand why. For me, it's risk vs reward and I get a large reward by riding alone some of the time. So let's take a look at most of the things I've got with me on a ride day in my pack.

Hey Kyle, maybe an idea for a future video would be demonstrating how to tow or be towed by another bike, I'm not even sure how this would work. Thanks, great videos!

If you tie to anything low on front bike to high on rear bike it pulls front end down and all over the place . The pegs are the best spot . Obviously hard on a. Narrow single trail but once you get out onto a track where you can ride off to the side of the bike in front . Peg trick works great

Dude, you're speaking my language! Riding alone is so therapeutic, plus you're not eating someone else's dust. Ride a gear lower, be very cautious, and make sure at least a couple of people know where you'll be riding. I have most of the same items in my pack.

I ride alone in the B.C. backcountry very regularly for the same reasons you do, and it's worth the risk for me. I pack accordingly and still consider it far safer than riding a motorcycle on the road.

I put foldable sneakers in my front fender bag to jog back to the car if I have a break down and PLB if I get injured. High Perf. thermals. Tube, irons, wheel spanner in low profile rear fender bag. Only carry tools specific for your bike and always have a bit of radiator hose as well. RIding is so much more fun if you have hardly any weight on your back. You can even mount 2 x 750ml drinks behind headlight. Carry hand tools in pockets on OTB pants and you won't feel the weight of that either.

I can relate, riding alone is like a form of meditation for me. I typically ride much slower when solo and focus on picking good lines and being as smooth as possible. I carry spare brake and clutch levers, latex gloves, duct tape rolled up on itself and a variety of zipties

Large backpack not required. Zip ties, tools, etc can be secured to the bike. In the airbox, under the seat, on the skid plate between the frame rails. All I carry in my pack is a tool to remove my skid plate to access my larger tool pack. Your knees will thank you.

I carry most of that plus tire plugs and a pump . I carry a 2m radio and a GPS as we do not alow phones on our rides . I always carry a chainnsaw and a file and a couple wedges. A simple trash bag makes a nice emergency rain cover big enough to cover your pack.

Would love to see you review the uswe packs. I have weak shoulders so any load hurts a lot and the uswe i can carry twice to load of a regular pack without any problem. Also I would love for you to try out older bikes and compare them to the new ones you ride.

I ride with a lot of the same things in an outdoor outfitters Walmart pack... I built my own first aid kit with a waterproof box also from Walmart. I keep Cheyenne pepper in it (it clots blood to stop major bleeding). I also keep aspirin in it (cuz I ride with old guys and it's sposta help during heart attacks) - the ONE time I left my pack off the leader of our 9 man group died on the trail due to massive heart attack. I don't swing a leg over the bike without it now.

Just switched to this pack. Used it for the first time last week. Kept all the same stuff I had in my previous pack to put into this one. This pack carries the weight better. I hated putting in my old pack. It felt too heavy. Even though I'm carrying the same gear this pack makes it feel like I'm only carrying half the stuff I used to. I'd recommend it to anyone needing a good riding pack. Thanks.

Hi Kyle, I have tried several bags and nevertheless no matter how comfortable they were I much prefer a lighter backpack as possible and keep my tools or other heavier stuff below and closest to my waist for a better freedom of movement and not feeling like I dragging a dead weight when pushing harder. Excellent tips though and I need to reorganize my 'luggage' and recheck my first aid kit. Looking into zoleo.. seems like it is a good alternative insurance. Thanks.

Scares me now if I think about what could have happened out there as I rode alone most of the time. I do remember bear on a trail and what happened to me is, I always worked so much in the big city that when the weekends came I would be out on the trail and I valued my weekends so much, I had no fear of bear. I would claim the trail. The hell with the bear. Scares me now to think about it, though.
