When I was in high school the only jeans I cared about were Levi's (red tag. Break 'em in yourself. Pre-washed didn't exist. Wear anything else and you got made fun of mercilessly). This irritates the crap out of me. How much more research do we need to figure out what we already know? And that we've known it for over 150 years? Time to stop researching and start taking action. I can't hang around to watch the vid. So I'm going to risk surmising. If I'm wrong let me know. 1) Mind set. 2) Healthy balanced whole food diet. 3) Pure water/hydration. 4) Exercise. 5) Recovery. 6) Fun, play, joy, recreation, community, belonging.

Very concise summary.. the challenge is people interpretting that the same science they learned 30+ years ago is the same they need to follow. We've learned so much about how to match hormone need to the exercise and nutrition... that works for individuals vs "masses" and genera lisms like this short list.

@@Flipping50TV Most of the people doing research weren't around 30 years ago. The challenge is taking action. All this research does nothing but confuse, frustrate, stress, and set up barriers that, I fear, keeps some from even trying. As fitness professionals it's our job to remove barriers, not create them.

It seems to me that a simple example of genetics and "environment" is the interaction of antibodies and antigens. It is especially seen during the maturation of children. Until we are 6 or 7 years old, it is more difficult to defend ourselves against colds and that is why we are snotty until we are 7 or 8 years old.
