So.... Reduce carbs to get into Ketosis to burn fat. Fill in, primarily with protein, to keep you feeling full. Is that about it?
@jonlilley2832 Жыл бұрын
I quit drinking a month or so ago and immediately dropped 10lbs. Maybe even more, I'm just not sure. I do not eat a lot of processed food, but because I'm a baker, I get more carbs than I really need. Stopping is going to be really hard, but I'll give it a shot. And I never considered eating more proteins. Small steps at first, but it's worth a try! Thank you, Tim! We'll see what happens!

Dude! I'm not going to lie. You look much younger. When i saw your first video, i thought you were like 24-25. Or something. But 37 years? Dear God. You are awesome inspiration, i must admit. I myself doing lower carb, some days i eat more carbs, but i never go over 100 or 150g of carbs. I'm a big fan of Shirataki noodles. It's so good with grass fed beef meatloaf. It's like my own pasta. I think it's my basic food choice. Also i add a little bit quality tomato sauce and coconut milk. It tastes like heaven. My only question is why i discovered this way of eating before? I have to admit that my face looks definitely younger when i started to eat low carb. And my weight is stable. But i gave up all bad shit like sugar, smoking etc. It's like i don't need to go out every weekend. That urge fades away. Also i've started to notice how smoking can impact your facial/neck skin/tone. It's wild. I mean, no wonder some of us age so fast. If you combine all these bad habits, yeah... nothing good happens. Also i think for me is a big game changer daily inttermittent fasting. Doing that almost everyday. And drinking more water. And you know what. Some are quite confused about my age. I also must tell that i'm 32 and 5th december is my birthday. But my point here is, when i look my older pictures of myself, i shockingly look more older. Or even tired. So quality food makes a big difference.

My mom recently was super sick and feeling horrible especially her gut, I stated asking about what changes if any she made recently to her diet and after a while of talking she mentioned she was using a safflower oil she got from a health food store thinking it was healthy, I told her to stop using it immediately and days later she was completely fine

Hey Keith! To be honest, it's mostly fear based. I have auto-immune disease in my family (dad) and he had a horrible health span before he died five years ago. I also tested positive with an antinuclear antibody (auto-immune) test years ago and that motivated me even more. Pretty much doing everything I can so I don't break down at an early age. What I've realized is that the best way to get the most optimal foods is to live off the grid; raise, hunt, grow, and forage your own food. For instance: we can't get raw dairy or pasture raised chicken/eggs in Canada and certain supplements are also extremely limited compared the states. You don't have to be perfect! Just do the best you can. We still include chicken/eggs and pork in our diet currently and I'm okay with that *for now* as long as we keep making strides, learning, and adapting. I've come a long way in the last few years coming from a state of health where I was literally half dead. Then and now is night and day. Folks like this have literally saved my life. Another excellent channel I would recommend is "What I've Learned". Paul Saladino (CarnivoreMD) is another good one or Dr. Ken Berry's channel.

I followed the PE diet for a month and developed nutritional deficiencies. I suddenly developed a craving for chocolate everyday... it turns out this is due to magnesium deficiency as I ceased all nuts, nut butters, seeds, bananas, wheat and all grains... and that's where magnesium comes from, all of these. Also ceased beans, lentils. Can anyone tell me what else they think I'm now deficient in? I've started eating pumpkin seeds which are high in magnesium, what else do you think I should start adding back in, for the magnesium deficiency that won't be too fattening and balance out the magnesium requirements? I eat meat, fish, eggs, veg and fruits . I've also developed anxiety and insomnia. I believe this is because I'm now also deficient in vitamin C, B vitamins and probably minerals too I stopped breakfast which consisted of berry smoothie so now I'm also deficient in vitamin C as I stopped the berries. Help appreciated.

Sounds pretty much like like the healthy clean keto meat based or carnivire diet or low carb diet/lifestyle but thetevare many modern modifications of it also known as The Proper Human Diet/lifestyle depending on how strict you wantcto get. I have to consider this because my ideal weight is pretty extreme from thevlowvto high end and being larger framed I like the middle to higher end of it no the lower end. I think majority of people know they need to cut out processed carbs, sugar and alcohol. And just telling people to stop is unrealistic. If that worked, every person who was told by their doctors to “just lose weight by cutting sugar and carbs” would be close to their ideal weight. I understand that the focus of this channel is educating people about the benefits of eating a PE diet, but what website or channel do you recommend for people to get support for coping with cravings, urges, relapses and giving up so many things that are a big and social part of their lives and /or identity? I agree that these kind of changes are vital to improving health and weight control, but not addressing the addictive effects of these unhealthy consumables is a ideal recipe for failure, and the resulting hopelessness that leads back to comfort foods (i.e. square one).
