This week, John Crowder explains why he is NOT a part of the so-called "grace movement." He takes the gloves off this week for a vicious attack against the progressivist, socio-cultural version of a make-believe Jesus that is being used to redefine scripture and Christianity itself.
Most pointedly, Crowder deals with the popular trend of writing off the Old Testament as flawed - accusing many of regurgitating the ancient heresy of Marcionism. Instead, we must see the hard texts of the Old Testament in light of a Law-Grace paradigm.

Deuteronomy 8:3 “And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.” Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Remember .......... every word ! Proverbs 6:23 “For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:” Proverbs 28:9 “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” Isaiah 8:20 “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” Question what Profit did you get from those three verses ? Doctrine ? Reproof ? Correction ? Or instruction in righteousness ? Bless you

Even though I wrestle with this off and on I do see what you are saying stuff I got into in 2012 when many others did it’s like a spirit came upon everybody I had a vision at the time or a dream that I had this third eye and I didn’t even know what the third eye was then. They do this constantly on the Gaia channel and other New Age teachings to try to say that ultimately the Old Testament God is the devil and Lucifer is the good guy. And we just need Christ consciousness etc. just as you were saying here They reduce Jesus to one of the enlightened ones but I still wrestle with these questions Like why the law says A father can sell her daughter into slavery or is to burn their daughter if they have sex or to stone your children if they r bad Or you can beat your slave as long as you don’t kill them. Stuff like this.these things just sound crazy to me no matter how I try. But the other side I don’t like where they are going I feel the evil on it even thinking about it but I still wrestle with it and it’s hard to get Leaders around me at church etc to talk about it They just don’t want to Thank u John Again love to be able to talk sometime:)

Old testament was God without. New is God within. The old dealt with the flesh. New deals with spirit. The old showed you cant please God through the flesh which lives by sight, feelings. The new is about pleasing God through faith Like Abraham did the father of our faith. You have to understand the first in order to realize what was lost in the garden by Adam. Paul tells us the old is an example and it shows the pitfalls of walking in the flesh.
