To be fair, it can't hit minamo and the one ring would just get another protection trigger from it. Ig it would still slow him down a little bit, so i see what you mean.

I've been wondering; is there any likelihood of Cast into the Fire seeing any play in cEDH? With the prevalence of The One Ring and certain 1 health creatures like Esper Sentinel and Orcish Bowmaster, I would imagine it could at least be worth testing out? I know counters are more all-purpose, but I've seen a lot of scenarios like this where people just didn't have the counters available the one turn that TOR came down, and it was basically locked on the board from then on. 2 mana is a lot for interaction in cEDH, but I figured with the flexibility of it, the fact that it's an instant, and the amount of meta targets it can hit, I think it's worth at least considering?

Trading one for one with TOR is still kinda bad, so unlikely. You don't want to be forced into being the janitor of the table who is removing problematic permanents, but should look into playing your own problem permanents. When you remove or counter a value piece of your opponent, is -1 card for you, -1 card for your one opponent and all positive for your two other opponents. Don't be the janitor, go for the win.

After watching: Why does yuriko draw so much hate 😂 the soul partition was crazy. She represents 1 card and maybe some life loss there, either way slows down cam who drew so many cards he was discarding the best card advantage piece in the game?? Have you all considered a party CEDH deck? I saw you guys advocate for Guild Artisan in that goblin deck you made. I'd imagine it being readily available in the command zone is pretty busted. It also helps that pretty much every background commander can be cast off of a jeweled lotus.

So why didn’t Nate kill Thassa’s oracle with Breya on etb? Cam doesn’t have the devotion if it’s removed, silence only says players can’t cast spells.

When the trigger resolves, devotion to blue would be 0 and cards in library would’ve 0. Since they’re equal, you still win. Thoracle would be a more fair card if devotion had to be greater than library.

I’m sorry to say but soul partition on Yuriko was such a throw I couldn’t keep watching. The damage from the Yuriko flip is marginal at that point in the game, and it basically let Cam draw two cards to prevent Daniel drawing one, while also draining interaction from the two blue decks. This is part of why Yuriko doesn’t perform well despite being a pretty decent deck, people get irrationally scared of the flip damage early and shut you out to their own detriment.

While you are right on this specific game; i've seen enough games of Yuriko just straight up stealing games because she does 12 all-around damage a turn + draw 3 "for free"; which is why people tend to leave absolutely no chances to her. In this current case however, yeah, close to a throw.

Turn 2, full health? there is no way in hell a single Yuriko trigger kills anyone, especially with the Yuriko player having a full deck (i.e. higher chances of a whiff). Why waste not one, but TWO pieces of interaction on what is likely to be an insignificant trigger? It's 100% a throw.
