For a regular household local channel user with some Netflix and KZbin usage, what would you recommend the 40 inch full hd version or the 43 inch 4k version of the new Mi series ? And what all games do we get to download and play from play store, will i be able to install pes from play store?

I think 4K TV's are getting cheaper. And if you are getting any them in your budget, I don't think you should hesitate. MI series is launching a 55" inch 4K soon, and I'm guessing it's going to be around 28k. That's a pretty good deal. You can still opt to use Netflix @full hd incase you don't want to take the ₹850 p.m. and upgrade later on. Or better yet, split it with 4 users. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting. No i am not concerned with netflix Nor that i wish for a 55 inch only 40 or 43" seem to suit my room and that is more than enough . I am asking about the use of a 4k panel when majority of the cable tv content is of Hd

@@akshaysanthosh1200 if major chunk of your television viewing is going to be by your dish provider than technically speaking there would be hardly any 4K content. so full hd TV would be your pick. But if I was you, I would think about maybe a year down the line. Content will only keep increasing eventually. Keep in mind the cost difference between full hd's and 4K as well.

Great question. I have asked this to our DTH providers. Hopefully we might get an answer. If you ask me, we should start getting 4K channels by end of 2019 or early 2020.

That's nice Pritesh. I have 25mbps wireless. Which works pretty nicely. However I did notice some stutter when there are many devices connected. Thanks for commenting. Hotstar/Sony Liv/Hooq upscale looks distorted at times.

You can go for the UHD box offered by Tatasky. They claim to provide 4K channels, but it's basically upscaling the HD channel. The binge+ box also does the same, but has a combination of android apps. If you have good internet and watch online content, you can go for this box.

Few sd channeld are upscaled well and look decent.Some sd channels on airtel dth like 9xo and VH1 look really pixelated. But hd channels look good. True 4K is can be experience on streaming services like Netflix and Prime.

Hi Dipendra, I would surely go for the 4x. The tatasky binge+ is good. But is yet to get Netflix. I tested a few Amazon shows and it seemed like it did not support UHD, as it was constantly playing on Full Hd.

@@dipendrainfo 1. There is no significant difference on full hd content on 4K. But 720p channels on 4K do look pixelated. 2. There are TV's which allow casting without internet. Like sony Bravia series. But not sure about MI. 3. Not sure. I have not tried playing different formats 4. Use microfiber cloth for cleaning. 5. Sd box will work. But like I said there will be pixelation on channels depending on their signal strength and overall performance. Hope this helps. Stay safe.

dont u think big size 4k tvs are waste of money if someone wants to watch only dth content on it. I feel even hd dth content looks worst on 50 and bigger size 4k tvs and it looks better on smaller size full hd native led tvs. on big 4k size tvs dth hd content looks pixelated like hell.

True. It's unwatched on TV's which are on the cheaper side, the upscale is bad. Full hd and 4K looks fine. But if your primary content is tv channels which are sd, i would wait till all my major tv channels are full hd and up.

Hey Adrian, last I checked on Amazon's official site very few TV's had 4K prime. Like lg, samsung and Sony's. I will still check though. Also, do let me know how the tv performs. Was intrested in that variant.

I just checked and they haven't really updated their list. when you do get your tv, try watching shows which have been launched in 4K on prime, like Jack Ryan, and see if the resolution shows uhd. That's the only way to know for sure :)
