@@bobblaszczak7972 All the magic happened in the 60's and early 70's that is why the songs have been the same for so long. But those songs have staying power and they can still put on one hell of a show.

@bobblaszczak7972 my view of it was the old warhorse songs had new life, revitalized by Steve Jordan's drums pushing it. I expected to be the least excited by the old standards, but they turned out to be real high points because they really got into playing them.

That was a very good review Joe. I was there way up in section 409, so they were very small, but I hadn't ever seen the Stones before. This was a bucket list on a budget. I thought they were obviously old now but still put on a great show. I would have liked to have changed the setlist for a song or two, but it was great. Even up by the rafters, we could see Mick constantly running around the stage, and then he played harmonica on several songs - I couldn't do that and I'm 20 years younger than he is. The bass player was great, especially on Miss You. And the female vocalist (I don't know her name yet either) was spectacular! Miss You into Gimme Shelter was a real highlight for me. Wow. I've so glad I was there and finally got to see this iconic band!

It will be my 10th time seeing them beginning in 1969 in Baltimore MD. I saw them at DC stadium on July 4th, 1972. An incredible day. had 40 grams of hashish for sale and they were gone in 20 minutes. Statue of limitations has run on that one. The steel Wheels tour in 89 was spectacular. I am all psyched out getting ready for a parking lot tailgate cookout ...we are pulling out all the stops....grilled salmon...burgers....dogs....steaks....watermelon....we plan to be there early and make this into the best Rock And Roll experience of a lifetime....we have seats that are right up to the top of the runway and I am hoping to get Mick Jagger to sign my Rolling Stones t shirt....and hell yeah we are buying concert posters.. shirts....hoodies... and whatever else we can to be able to have and remember The Event Of A Lifetime.....This is truly the event of my lifetime !!!! The Rolling Stones certainly lived up to the legend that they are last night in East Rutherford, NJ...... Tailgating was awesome and the concert experience has become what has inspired many other true rockers with a deep desire to become......legendary !!! Mick Jagger was out there on stage for over two hours skipping and a jumping and I would not have been surprised if he started doing cartwheels down the runway....at the age of 79, four years after atrial valve surgery !!! Keith Richards and Ronny Wood belted out the riffs on their guitars in the kick ass way we have come to know as we were being taught how to rock and roll by the best.... Prayers were said for Charley Watts as Steve Jordan set the tempo and banged our heads the way it should be done..... What a great concert. Truly a band that inspires the artistic psyche of our future rockers.... THE ROLLING STONES......if you can make it to the show it is definately true...... THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND IN THE WORLD !!!!!! Thank you Joe for your review. Sincerely, Tom 05/25/2024

Joe, I was at the show last night with my sister and neices. It is almost 50 years since I first saw the Rolling Stones in Boulder Colorado at Folsom Stadium for the Some Girls tour. I have seen them 8 or 9 times since then. I have to say that this was one of their most powerful performances. Although, I noticed that many of the songs have been shortened in their length, kind of making an AM song out of an FM song (younger readers won't understand that). Miss You was an exception... Gimme Shelter was awesome as always and the new "Back Up Singer" is an incredible/great addition after Lisa Fischer. Did miss Midnight Rambler, but loved they acknowledged VooDoo Lounge. Sorry for Rough Justice. Not to be political, but compare 80 year old Mick rocking the crowd to 81 year old US President... To parody Tommy Boy, the US is screwed!! Keith was shuffling a bit and seemed a little confused at first, but then embraced the evening and rocked it song after song. And Ronnie, he is such a performer and has so much fun even as he rips off incredible riffs and then the slide work he does....

The ONLY thing that disappoints me is that of all bands, I never thought the Stones would succumb to the woke, and remove Brown Sugar from the set lists… That tiff defines rock and roll…it’s a shame. It doesn't make me Rock at all!!!! I see why Bill Wyman, left after 30 yrs. He was tired of it. I'm just Not gonna pay a ton of Money to see them anymore. I can watch their classic videos, if I want. @@RoctoberSlots-b8w I saw a lot of tours post-Steel Wheels, and they were very good. In fact, as a band, they were much tighter during the 90s and early-2000s, though not nearly as exciting as the 70s and 80s Stones. But in the mid 2000s to today, they’ve pretty much been doing the same show over and over. In the last 10 years, Kieth has really lost a step. Mick still brings it, but do I really need to see a hyperactive 80-year old? No. And I totally agree that they should have called it a day when Charlie died. It just doesn’t seem right anymore.

I remember in the 1980’s, I saw them early on in a tour and I thought they sounded awful but later into the tour they were amazing. I mentioned the dramatic improvement to my late husband, who had seen them many times, and he just laughed at me and said the early shows are their rehearsals and they charge us just for the privilege of being in the same building and if I wanted perfect, listen to their albums. I’ve found them to be consistent in that pattern. Early in the tour, it’s pure joy, late in the tour, it’s supernatural. Just go whenever you get a chance!

It used to be that one could buy a concert ticket and see the band play, or buy the album and listen to the band as much as you wanted. Now you buy a concert ticket, or a couple of ounces of gold. They are the best living Rock-n-roll band and worth seeing (maybe once) at these prices. But I'm glad I saw them in 1980 for $12. And in the 90s for about $30. The glimmer twins really don't need another billion. And my retirement is more important at this point. Rock on.

The Rolling Stones, were established the same year I was circa1962 I was their biggest fan at one point, I had the Largest Stones Collection in the entire East Coast. I had all their studio albums & two bootleg albums where Mick, sang in French& German, I had over 125 pins& buttons in a shoe box plus Autographed albums, I used to wait outside Hotels to get Autograph's, I had every tour book from 1972's Tumbling Dice Tour, until 1989 Steel Wheels Tour, I had huge flag/banners. Tour shirts, 65 sew on patches, eight different drinking glasses with various Stones tour logo's on them, I had lithographs, signed. Had Original Photos with Brian Jones, framed.also had their 20th anniversary collage with your postcards & Copy of Brian Jones last letter to the Stones. Had the tongue & lips red telephone that worked. Had several Rolling Stones, bumper stickers. Yep I had it all& lugged all of it around in 14 boxes for 34 yrs. I can't comment on entire concerts because they've not played in Australia as much as other countries. They play reasonably well given their ages. It just blows me away that with everything that's happened to them? The highs the very lows almost losing Keef back in the 70's! But even with the loss of Charlie , they still sound great thanks to Steve Jordain playing giving tge band a new found energy! Sure they've slowed a bit but they are legends and still have that WOW! Factor! This could very well be the last hurrah for them(Mick&Keef are 80!) But I've learned to never say never as I thought the last tour was it? My problem with the live shows is first off Keith, who for a few decades now hasn't been able to play his iconic guitar solo to 'Sympathy For The Devil' and consistently screws it up, with a plethora of bum notes. He has done the same thing to the intro of 'Gimme Shelter' and don't even get me started on 'It's Only Rock & Roll' which they turned into a Chuck Berry schmooze fest, I honestly believe they couldn't play it's iconic intro if their lives depended on it. Secondly for the last few decades now Mick's live vocals have suffered from his having to cut off parts of words and sometimes just breathily mumbling some because he's winded from running around a football field sized stage trying to impress everyone with his gymnastics, I remember a time when Mick could either stand in one spot behind the mic or off to the sides of the microphone stand, and command the fucking stage like no one else could ever hope to. I still LOVE the Stones but we consciously made the 2015 Raleigh NC Carter Finley show our last big concert because of all the damned hoops we had to endure just to park and get in to the venue, security searches, video cams everywhere, fucking spy drones flying all over the goddamn place and for ticket prices that would have bought me a nice new Les Paul, which would have been money more well spent than seeing an automaton performance of the same fucking songs that they've been doing forever.

It’s sad to see Paul McCarthy still going out, having basically lost his voice. And other old acts faking it. But these guys still have it for real, and what’s more they still write new hits! Angry is really good. Gimme Shelter and As Tears Go By, the current live versions are even better than the original record. Lucky you, for having seen them in the flesh. Very inspiring. 👍🎬

I first saw the stones in 1981 in New Orleans. I can’t remember what I paid for the ticket, but whatever I paid it was SO f worth it. I went to Bourbon Street the next day and stayed till 2 AM at a bar. They played nothing but Rolling Stones. It was packed in the roof was coming off the place. I was in college and missed my finals on Monday. Lol

The one and only time I saw The Stones was in 1981 at The New Orleans Superdome. Opening Acts were The Neville Brothers and George Thorogood. My buddy and I were jammed in and up close on the General Admission Floor so I couldn’t even leave my space cuz I’d never get back in lol. On a side note I did get to see Mick Taylor in Scottsdale around 2002 or so. He was very Bluezy and simply amazing

I saw the Rolling Stones the first gig they ever played in the United States in San Bernardino California at the swing Auditorium. The tickets cost $3.50. They would come back every 6 months.... I remember the first time that they played Satisfaction it had just come on the radio and Keith stepped on this thing on the floor (fuzz tone) I didn't know what it was but it sounded cool and it was a cool thing to watch them play the song. I was there, but unfortunately the sound quality was nothing like it was at Allegiant Stadium in 2021. It was tinny, so many echos, couldn't understand words, lyrics. I think Miss You was the most coherent from our seats. I'm in Seattle and hoping Lumen Field, being outside, will be better. My 10th Stones concert since 1975 ❤❤❤

What section are you in I hear the higher you go at Allegiant the worse and worse The Sounds gets. I think it has something to do with that big glass opening by the torch. I know after the first few live shows their they added curtains in front of the glass but I don't think it helps very much

@@JoeInVegasReviews Hi, we were in section 340, with aisle seats just across from 339, just below the entrance/exit, and the bathrooms towards the top of the section. A woman from DC sat next to me. She had never seen them but had been a fan all of her life. She's 73 now and was excited but concerned because of how bad the sound was for the opening act. I noticed the sound when they started to play as we entered the stadium. Loud, tinny, echoes, but I reassured her that the Stones's sound would be better because of how good it was in 2021. My friend and I remembered that, at that concert, some areas were open with air coming in, and black curtains were set up around the stadium. He said he had noticed baffles on the ceiling, which weren't there the other day. I couldn't recognize the opening of Get Off of My Cloud, Tumbling Dice, Mick speaking, etc. :( The lady next to me said she struggled to understand the lyrics but was glad that she remembered them. I read other reviews about the sound in Allegiant for other concerts and how it ruined the reviewers' experiences. Some said they wouldn't return to a concert there. The last time I had that experience with a Stones concert was in 1975, but it was outside on a football field. Their speakers were on the stage, creating a whole different scene on the field. Fire hoses were spraying everyone to keep them cool on the Astroturf at Arrowhead Stadium. I do remember Paint it Black back then, Mick in his football pants. I hope it will be better in Seattle tonight. Thanks for responding to me. :)

@JoeInVegasReviews Thanks, Joe! I spend a lot of time in Vegas on my casino offers. I'm a Nevada resident, but travel often. Since the professional sports arrived, players took a back seat with MGM and Caesars. Prices jacked up for games and other events, it leaves a lot of locals out of what they should be able to enjoy. I read that Allegiant Stadium put in new features for the Super Bowl after fans complained about the same things I noticed. Too much reverberation, echoes, poor quality. Maybe that was a temporary thing. I may write them, but agree, lol. Worth a shot, anyway. Thanks again, Your review is great, btw!

The Stones weathered the losses of Brian Jones & Mick Taylor better than they did Bill Wyman, who split after 30 years. Now Darryl Jones has been with the Stones 30 years himself, their only other bassist since the original lineup solidified. Woody would've become second guitarist sooner or later and he's been at his post for 50 years. I can't believe they still tour but the massive crowds love them as much as they ever did. Even after losing Charlie Watts.

@@hotconductor4749 I personally think the Stones are a very boring live band . It’s basically the “ Mick Jagger Show “ They were great up until maybe ‘80 or ‘81 , after that Keef became a piece of cardboard and then Wyman left the band . Even Mick had enough and went solo but that didn’t work . On vinyl they’re a great band . Happy to hear you’re taking your daughter and have a great time 😊

It’s funny to read people bitching about the ticket prices like it’s something new. Hell I paid $20 in 1981 at U of Colorado and spent $150 for a handicapped seat in Vegas at T-Mobile arena in 2016 when they played a bunch of stuff off Lonesome and Blue they had just released. They sounded like they did in ‘65 before all of the hits. It was that other-worldly sweet sound ringing in my ears that their version of the blues gives you. THAT was my favorite! And no, I didn’t attend this concert, I was too ill. Maybe next time??👈🏻🌞

I won't "bitch" about the prices, I simply won't pay them. I saw The Stones at The Super Dome back in '78 with the Doobie Brothers and opening act a young Van Halen. Paid maybe $25 bucks and could have had ANY seat (or standing place on the floor) that I wanted. I'm happy to have that memory, don't need to shell out a grand for an honestly sad glimmer of the former band. When Charlie died they should have stopped (touring at least) right then and there. Just one opinion.
