🧊 STEP 1: Fill a bucket with 1/3 ice and 2/3 water.
🧘 STEP 2: Redirect your mental focus to your hands or feet.
🪣 STEP 3: Place your hands or feet into the ice bucket.
⏱️ STEP 4: Hold your hands or feet in the bucket for 2 minutes. At some point, they should start to feel warm instead of cold.
✋🦶STEP 5: Remove your hands or feet from the ice bucket but keep your mental focus on them.
👋 STEP 6: Shake them out several times to encourage the blood flow into your newly awakened extremities.
After a couple of days of this exercise, you will find that your extremities aren’t so cold anymore.

this works...i was always one of those people who was cold and ever since i began WHM a year or so ago doesn't affect me any more. I went to the ice baths pretty quick, only submerged my hands and feet twice and it wasn't bad at all. Now, a 39 degree cold plunge for 5 or more minutes daily is a piece of cake. You build up FAST.

Did you do hands and feet first and then submerged yourself or just hands.feet only? Just wondering how to do? Thanks

@@Phoenixrises89 first time i took wim's advice on one of his vids....i put my hands and feet in a bucket of water and i'm thinking this isn't bad at all. next time i did the same and also put my face in a bowl of ice water to "trick" myself. finally, bath tub with cold water (temp was 46 the first time). started with 3 minutes and in a week i was doing over 5. within a month i was doing ten minutes at the same temp. came to the point where i bought a counter top ice maker along with my freezer ice. i used to get about 3-4 fevers a year and would be messed up for days. i have had ONE day since i started WHM where i felt under the weather. i actually work out more now than before without getting sick. FWIW, 48 year old healthy/athletic male. i hope this helps!

When i'm outside working(in winter in cold) my hands freeze up quickly. A painful thaw is the usual result. Had the most painful "frostbite" in high school ice fishing at a pond. Walked back and they had me submerge my hands in warm water. Literally the most painful experience of my life. It just went on and on. So now I just hate the cold because of my hands.

I have cold hands all the time and I suffer from chilblains all winter. Starts in September as soon as temp cools. My fingers are red, swollen and itchy all the time. I have Raynauds too when exposed to really cold situations. Will this help take my chilblains away or make them worse? 😢

Would appreciate if someone could help me in understanding & explain in simple language as what to do . I wanna know: ... 1. What's meant by ...how to go in cold with only hands and feet? 2. How hands & feet will be scarificed if we go fully immersed? 3. What is meant by fully immersed? Thankyou for ur support in advance! Truly appreciate it❤😊
@V.Hansen
@V.Hansen 4 ай бұрын
It means put your hands and feet into cold water frequently and the body will build a resistance. If everything is cold the body will try to sacrifice the hands and feet (if they are not cold resistant)

How is this for people with Raynaud?
@BE-bs8oe
@BE-bs8oe 11 ай бұрын
Dear L'ars, there are different opinions . I just try it. Go easy, slowly, read and listen. 1stcif all, the breathing is already à pacifier and positive for our bloodstream, pressure, CIRCULATION, letting go, energy,etc. It's the heart that dhould be monitorat, do build up vrry slow I guess. The micro veins being the trouble, maybe through the breathing and building up and rest, the circulation will warm things up, or live them up, dunno. I just try, kerping in.mind that people s ay no if you have Raynaud's and that you can also ask your doctor.
