I don't know, I can think of several reasons why she would feel compelled to stay against her will. She could leave in theory, but there's probably a lot of unseen factors to this that would make it really hard for her to leave without serious consequences. Edit: Such as marital abuse, legal issues, political repercussions, international repercussions between her and her home country, etc.

She was able to renegotiate her marriage contract (why she didn't move from NYC to DC right away). What I have always found interesting is how she became an American Citizen - she came to this country on a working class visa as a model and then the Donald - how do I say this politely? - latched on to her and she fell for his money - but how did she go from a K1 Visa to American Citizenship. A drug abused, an alcohol abused, a cocaine user, mean no entry into the United States - If he wrote this information of his paperwork someone pulled a lot of strings to get him admitted - if he didn't write this information down on his K1 visa papers - he lied on entry and that in itself is reason for deportation. - Where he would go is a good question because he is not welcome back in Britain. Those living in California and in many parts of this country do not like his and his family living here - they seem to be the old expression "gold-diggers". I feel certain his late mother the Princess Diana would not be very proud of her second born.

I don't think Baron has been maligned at all except the comments about how very tall he has grown, which isn't bad mouthing him. Trump was not a great president but most aren't. Melania is a grown woman so she has to make her own decisions. The 34 counts against him are due to long investigation into his business records in his NY company and have nothing to do with politics. NY courts have had many dealings with Trump and the family business for decades.

I beg to disagree with you - Trump did in fact help the very rich with tremendous tax cuts while my taxes went up. He also did quite a bit of damage to our national parks and forests. He also cut food stamps to the poor, he cut programs to feed school children who didn't have food at their horrible homes, he cut education budgets, he cut enormously into all the civil rights of the people of the United States, he spent lavishly on his friends, he also (and these cases are now coming before the courts) cheated on taxes and was a great person at money laundering. It has been suggested by many that his relationship with Putin was more than friendly chatter and that he not only gave secret US information to Russia but also to China because of his careless protection of secret papers. I haven't even mentioned anything about he used police, National guard, and the military to control protests - which is the right of every person guaranteed by the Constitution. And he (according to papers that will be released in legal proceedings and in the January 6th Congressional Hearings was in many ways involved with the January riot (and it was a riot and not a tourist visit -that bullshit). In has not been determined he selected tainted justices to the Supreme and while Justice was not one he appointed - Justice Thomas and his wife are in big, BIG, legal trouble. If you want more I can write more because Donald Trump was not the hero you make him out to be - historian say (even while he is still alive) that he will go down in history as the worst President of these United States that ever held that office.
