2.5 weeks post hip replacement surgery. Didn't find out until after the surgery that I had hip dysplasia. But it sure explains a lot once I looked it up what it was and symptoms and results of it. Turns out my mom had it too, two hip replacements. But the OA did progress awfully fast. From Canada, had to go out of country to get it done, here I was too young...55. Nice, doesn't matter about quality of life and pain.

I really appriciate your videos as I have a severe hip dysplasia myself. What surgical treatment options are there? In Europe for example there are adjustment osteotomies done before a hip replacement is needed :)

Great video, thank you. One question: you talk about young adults being the demographic for hip dysplasia pain. Is it possible not to experience pain and symptoms until later adulthood (40 plus)? Or if you’ve made it that far without symptoms is your hip pain more likely something else?

@@TheTkndnv yep absolutely you can, though often by that point the health of the hip may have progressed into showing some pre arthritic components, or it’s just taken a bit longer for the hip to present/ truely be diagnosed. Appreciate the comment!
