Almost all animals can be tamed tho right? Long as it's well fed and treated with care etc??? I'm not an expert just an animal lover
@marshalbaek5580Ай бұрын
@ An animal can be domesticated through breeding and genetic alteration, but you end up with a different kind of animal. Instead of a wolf, you have a German Shepard or a Husky or a Beagle....you have a domestic dog. It has wolf like traits, but the "wild animal instincts" have been watered down to suppress them from taking control of the animal. A big dog can still go off on a stranger or when eating and you mess with its' food, but it's not as likely to because it's domestic now and no longer pure wild. Same with big cats. A domestic cat somewhere back up in the breeding process was a large wild animal like a Lion. A house cat still has traits like a big cat, but it's domesticated and will not attack you if you take care of it. But a Lion like in this video? It's still wild. No matter how much you love on it and feed it, you are risking a lot by hoping the animal will not have its' wild instinct kick in and it attack you like you were prey to eat in order to survive. Especially a predator in the wild like a Lion. Lions eat meat. They are not omnivores. A person in their mind can easily be seen as food in a split second and they act before associating that person as a friend. Some will argue that keeping a lion in a house like this is cruel because it's so contrary to its wild instincts to roam a large piece of land to hunt. They have a point. The bottom line is a wild animal's instincts to survive is going to be so strong that it could at any moment attack a human that has cared for it its entire life. It's just how it's wired to be. You have to know that it could kill you in a split second and it not have remorse for doing it. The instinct to survive is just too strong to count on being suppressed in any given moment. You can still be an animal lover without petting and hanging out with it. You have to respect a wild animal in all of the things that make it what it is. And the most love you can give a wild animal is its' freedom to live in the wild and admire and respect them at a safe distance. There are exceptions where if it isn't shown the details of how to hunt by its' mother at a young age, it won't survive in the wild and keeping it in captivity is the only way it will live, but those instances are the exception and not the rule... Hope this helps...Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year.✌️

I'm no wildlife biologist, and I don't need to be one to confirm that lions are NOT pets. They are wild animals, apex predators, and should be treated with that level of dignity and respect. The last thing you would want to do to a lion is put it on a leash. Sure, if a lion loves you and considers you to be "part of the pride," expect loyalty, protectiveness, and love. But to be able to gain that level of trust from such an animal, be ready to dedicate your entire life to its happiness and well-being. These are powerful, majestic, and not to mention, dangerous creatures; NOT toys or props for human entertainment. I do not mean to come off as aggressive or arrogant. I merely wish to spread a little bit of education, that's all.

@RiverKingston well you are wrong. This video alone proves it
@RiverKingston16 күн бұрын
@johnWICKcruz8334 Remember how I said that to achieve that level of trust, one must be prepared to dedicate their entire life to the well-being of these animals? Kevin Richardson has done just that. He has spent so much time and resources into building a sanctuary that caters to the needs of the animals he rescues. Keep in mind, the sanctuary does not promote keeping wild animals as pets. Instead, Kevin emphasizes that lions are wild and belong in their natural habitat. He never treats the animals as "pets." The closest we can get to is "friends." Den deeply trusts Kevin thanks to the love, care, and not to mention, the facilities Kevin has provided for the lion to be a lion. He has in no way domesticated it. The lion is a lion, not an over-grown kitty cat. If you truly care about lions, advocate for their conservation and the protection of their natural habitats-not for treating them as pets, which puts both the animals and humans at risk. Hope you were able to learn a little something.☺

Uhmmm. This is insane. I have a regular house cat, and she's unpredictable. When she's mad, she swats at me, sometimes she bites me just because she's a cat.... Sometimes her instincts kick in and she hunts my feet while im just walking across the living room but she's small so it's funny and cute most of the time.... But she does that stuff because she's a cat. That's what cats do... Imagine this, you're raising a lion like a domestic house cat and it decides it doesn't want you to scratch it in that spot, so it gives you just a warning bite to let you know it doesn't like that..... Well that warning bite could be the thing that ends your life.....
