They screw into the bottom of the Vents to keep rain and dirt out

@@antdo gotcha. I just bought the hood and vents from my dealership. Just made the phone call and they will ship out the rainguards tomorrow along with the hardware. Getting it paint matched right now and should be done tomorrow. Thank you.

Does the hood come bare metal? Why did you have to wrap it? Do they not come in White/ Red / Black from factory? May have missed where you mentioned in the video. Thank you. Oh also by chance, do you know if this hood is Vin locked. The spoiler is not. Just curious so I know whether to order this asap or not.

toyota parts tend to come painted their xse wing comes painted for $338

They aren't technically vin locked. Some dealerships just won't order any parts without a vin because it gives them less liability in case you try to say it's the wrong part and try to return it. You Just need to find a dealership that can order it. But I do believe there may be a stop order on the hood because it's so far on backorder

@Anthony Do I feel like these specifically should be VIN locked to cut back on ppl trying to resell them. Give GR owners a chance, at least initially. Will these fit the SE corolla hatchback or incompatible? They will dissappear even faster if they fit.

Those interior plastic channels are there primarily to connect with the radiator/inter cooler shroud, to divert the hot air away from the engine…do not remove!! You’ll be missing the point of those vents

Watch any of the press reviews of the CE and Morizo on track and you will see that don't even have the protectors on the car while on track. Stop talking out your ass about things you don't know. They are called protectors. because that's all they do. They keep dirt and rain from completely making a mess of the engine bay. It has nothing to do with the heat extraction itself. They don't' even sit anywhere near the radiator shroud.

Oh ok…sorry I was misled, I guess if they are not even doing any sort of heat extractions and are just fancy rain gutters, so the hood vents are non functional? You will always need to remove to utilize the vents? Doesn’t make sense that a Toyota engineer would add a non functional hood vent. Thanks for clearing things up.

For this car with an MSRP of 40k ... (Actual selling price usually higher than that) It shouldve came with that wing and hood at LEAST. I drove two different core models and the interior does honestly feel on the cheaper side. Drives very great though, but again for the price tag, these things shouldve been standard at least on the performance pack.

MSRP on a Core is $36.9 not 40. MSRP on a CE is $42.9. Why would they give you the hood and wing from the ce (which is basically the only difference between the two) just because the core has the PP package. PP package is like $1800. which only brings the Core to $38.7 which is still almost 4500 cheaper than the CE

@@j.p.9630 Every dealer I have contacted always gets the core models with all 3 options available. Perf pack, cold weather pack and tech pack. I have yet to see a Core model with no options on it. and even then? The only people I have seen get an MSRP deal are employees. I was offered 44k on a core with an msrp of 40k. Not a bad deal but it didnt feel worth it to me. Thats my opinion. Others may feel different and thats ok

The hood and spoiler are from the Circuit Edition dude 😂 sold separately 😅 in case you were wondering the spoiler is $1300 and the hood is $1100 😅

I don't know where you are getting your prices from but the Hood is only $495 and the spoiler is only $620.

If that hood were to cost over a grand it would be lowkey dumb to buy as you can just buy a genuine carbon fiber hood, vented at thay price tag which would be better anyway.

They aren't "needed" per say. As mentioned in the video. It's just some covers that try to reduce as much dirt and debris from getting into the engine bay as much as possible
