I was diagnosed with ankle arthritis (and flat feet and bursitis) in February and was told by an orthopedist that I will probably use a wheelchair in a few years' time. I do physical therapy and it has made SUCH A DIFFERENCE. If I could build a statue for PT's I seriously would. Also, I would build one for orthopedic technicians because one of them made me shoe insoles that I could walk a thousand miles with. One a sunny, warm day in June I was supposed to find a certain house on a really long street in the middle of the city center, so I was walking for some time, and only after ~ 30 minutes, I realized I did not want to neither find a bench nor call a taxi. And that was not a coincidence, I could do the same the next day and the next one too! Walking makes me happy. Paraphrasing Anne Frank "where there is the ability to walk, there is life". When I was told that I will probably use a wheelchair I got into a deep depression (not clinically diagnosed, but still). I do not want to stop walking also because when I do I feel my ankle, so I keep moving it. Some days I can walk 11 thousand steps and feel nothing or a slight feeling (on those days I can't stop, even if I know I should), but some days I feel like I was kicked by a football player right in the Achilles tendon and somebody had jumped on the top of my foot. I will keep walking as long as I can. How long will it be? Who knows, maybe after 10 years I will really walk on crutches only and I am 26.. So that is very emotional, the unknown. I have realized that my pain level really depends on my emotions (maybe totally unrelated). When I am happy I am unstoppable when I am stressed my ankle for some reason hurts even if it didn't for a month (and even where it didn't!!). Life is hard. But anyway, thank you for everything you do. I use some of your feet exercises in addition to those my PT showed me, but they are very similar anyway.

Vivobarefoot cannot be purchased anywhere in Canada. They will ship to Canada for free but they don't offer returns for Canadians. So it's a big risk for Canadians. It would be great if you would offer information about good alternatives for Vivo since I doubt that I am the only CAnadian who follows you. Thanks for all the great information that you put out there.
