The people is the restaurant were looking really nervous because during contractions I would just stare off and breath. They probably thought I was going to have a baby in their restaurant 😅

It would be funny (not really) if you were doing compressions and the baby popped out. I was 16 weeks pregnant when I had my ACLS re-certification and couldn't really do good compressions.

Congrats! It's hard to believe 9 months has gone by already. He's beautiful! When I had my son 29 years ago I didn't read any of the what to expect when you are expecting books because they just scared me. I was in labor for 2 days before I realized it then I pushed for several hours. I probably should have had a c sec but finally at 12:56 am he was born. I had no epidural or pain killers I just wanted to hold my baby. It was still a beautiful experience. I'm glad everything went well.

Congratulations! It's heartening to see that you delivered both your boys normally in spite of having GDM. I just hope am as lucky as you are since I have GDM and have everyone telling me that the chances of C section is significantly higher for women with diabetes.

They only recommend cesarean deliveries if baby is estimated to be greater than 4500 g (over 9 lbs!). As long as your blood glucose are controlled, you should be fine

@@drjennale I'd imagine! My brain doesn't shut off as is, so I can only imagine what it's like to be a doctor and have all those responsibilities and have all this 'free time' out of nowhere. Even just a month is crazy to think about. I mean ya you get bonding which is amazing and lovely for mom and baby, but your brains probably just like I also want to do this, or maybe i should check this! Or it should be at some point. Luckily you'll have a new baby to fill in the blanks!

Girl I’m on my second baby and shitting myself. With my first My water broke and it was a very slow leak. They got me into the hospital to wait 24 hours to see if I would go into labour or dilate. Nope, so they induced me. I was in active induced labour for almost three more full days before I pushed for four hours. They gave me an epidural thank god but would not take me for a c section even after I was so exhausted I could barely push. The dr told me I was delivering vaginally whether I wanted too or not. Well a 9 pound baby and post partum hemorrhage later I’m terrified. They say every baby is different but I almost died last time. Spent four to five days receiving a blood transfusion. I can only pray my delivery goes as well as yours!

A sincere congrats for London's birth. Wyatt is a big brother!!! :) Get some sleep if/when you can. My wife and I went the OBGYN route. Had an attending and a resident there, along with a bunch of nurses and a pediatrician. It was our first rodeo (so to speak), so we have nothing to compare it with. It was good that we (wife and I) went this route. Love to hear your thoughts on the difference between midwife/OBGYN. Obviously after you've rested a bit!
