I really liked the movie. Sam Raimi's direction was impeccable, but the film needed more of it. It felt a little half baked in certain aspects. But in terms of filmmaking and colour grading, I think its a major improvement compared to what we've gotten from their other recent projects.

It would have been better it was directed by Scott derikson.And i feel movie was underwhelming.

I think it definitely may have been underwhelming cause of all the studio interference. Both Derrickson and Raimi are really good horror directors. Personally I prefer Raimi but you can tell that his unadulterated vision was not what was shown.
