For the spiderman thing, I'm guessing that Strange could perhaps sense that the Runes of Kauf-Kaul were used for a reason and opted not to dig further and find out who Spiderman was. He simply acknowledged that something happened and realized that it would be for the best if he just moved on as was his original intention.

I mean, I think the real answer is that they just forgot who Spider-Man was, but they don’t forget that Spider-Man is a superhero who fought against Thanos. Strange is probably smart enough to figure out that he used the spell to make everyone Spider-Man’s identity, and so he knows about Spider-Man but doesn’t know he is anymore. A *lot* of cosmic shit happened because of the spell, so it doesn’t surprise that the person who casted it would have remnants yet.

Thinking about the theory of "Ironman" cameo... What are the odds that Ironman meets Wanda outside the Illuminati compound before Wanda enters and meets the Ultron bots, for we have to recognize that Wanda was covered with blood as she enters the compound, and it is pretty impossible that it was done by the Ultron bots for she disposed those bots as if it was nothing.

I really don't think the Spider-Man thing is that confusing. Strange and everyone else still remember EVERYTHING that happened with Spider-Man, Including moments where Peter had his mask off and was interacting with them. Their memories were just changed so they remember him with his mask on all the time and never found out his identity.

I got that Loki was the starting point for the multiverse story without any sort of explanation. This is a shared universe, after all. If something as big as what happened at the end of Loki happens, you should be able to infer that that is going to have repercussions across the rest of the story. Doctor Strange, Spidey, Wong, America, Wanda, etc. aren't aware of the events of Loki (that we're aware of) so it would be weird for them to bring it up in the movie. But the audience is very much aware. We shouldn't need to have everything spoon fed to us.

I mean ... i dont think that cafe scene where they discuss Spidey is that difficult to grasp. Erik nails it. Everybody has simply forgotten who Peter is, but knows of a Spider-Man. All these past interactions where other Avengers may have spoken with Spidey unmasked, I think have simply been erased from memory. That was the whole point of that spell at the end of NWH. Additionally, I get why you guys may have wanted to explore more of the Multiverse and 838 itself in this film, but at the same time there is only so much you can do in a single film while also trying to tell a coherent story that is meaningful to both Strange and Wanda. I'm glad we got a taste of the Multiverse in this film, but I'm more so happy that it was such a good story told for both of our central characters. This movie managed to avoid exactly what I was actually dreading: essentially a field trip through the multiverse with a shit-load of short but ultimately meaningless one-and-done cameos. That would've severely harmed the film in the end I believe. Yes, it would have been undeniably awesome to explore other universes more thoroughly and meet more alternate versions of beloved characters, but in the end, you have to wonder if that would have been effective from a storytelling perspective. Personally, I don't think it would have. I was more than satisfied with what we got.

42:19 Nobody went to another universe in Infinity War, Greg. They were all still in the main MCU universe (the 616 MCU universe, according to this movie). Also, simply going to another universe does not cause an incursion. The incursions in Hickman's Avengers/New Avengers/Secret Wars were caused by 616 Doom and 616 Owen Reece/Molecule Man, if I remember accurately. I'm not sure how that incursion Earth with Sinister Strange is still there; the incursions are described to destroy both universes if the collision happens. If one Earth is destroyed before impact, then both universes pass through each other and survive.

The Classic Charles Xavier is a variant from the 90's X-Men: The Animated Series. We also hear the classic theme when he makes his introduction. The Wanda Maximoff Variant with all the blood on her face during the Illuminati battle was a nod to Carrie starring Sissey Spacek. The trailer had the line with Sinister Strange saying "Things just got out of hand" but the theatrical removed that line. Benedict Cumberbatch is the Peter Sellers of the MCU and this film kind of reminded me little bit of Stanley Kubrick's Doctor Strangelove. We also get to hear the line from X-Men: Days of Future Past with Xavier saying the same line "Just because someone stumbles and loses their path, doesn't mean they're lost forever.". I know they won't use the term Nexus being in the MCU but America Chavez aka Miss America is a Nexus Being and a Mutant as she was born with the abilities and not having any nightmares like Doctor Strange. Marvel's What If...? coming into play with Captain Carter transitioning to live action was great and her jet pack reminds me of The Falcon's Jet pack from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The apple Orchard sequence with Wanda Maximoff is a nod to Star Trek: The Next Generation season 7 series finale episode with Old Man Picard retired from Star Fleet planting vegetables when he gets visit by an old friend Jordi La Forge to talk about a mission. The Series finale episode "All Good Things..." is about Jean Luc-Picard jumping three different points in time somewhat mirrors to America Chavez being able to travel through other universes instantaneously. The Multiverse of Madness opened the doors for the existence of Mutants and The Wanda Maximoff variant definitely is the daughter of Magneto and her kids Tommy and Billy are mutants just like Wanda. Again this movie is teasing Young Avengers.

I think that the story is actually about closure and healing. The movie reveals that Strange was actually broken from the beginning because of his sister, explaining why he feels the need to control everything, and after seeing what caused America Chavez to also lose herself across the multiverse as a child he sees both himself and his sister in her. Sge literally causes him to confront the darkest sides of himself. Explaining why he is able to heal himself (as represented by the watch by the end) because his real wounds are beginning to heal.

For the Spider Man recalling, issue. it's good to keep in mind that in the end of "No Way Home" Peter had a book, studying to get his GED. That means there are no records or knowledge of him. At the same time, Dr. Strange casting a spell for Peter to get into college seemed really against the Superhero grain. So since Dr. Strange's dealings were only with Peter, that whole interaction was whipped out. That's probably why, the first credit scene, had an effect that looked so similar to the end of No Way Home.

Strange even got on Peter for not calling the school, first, for not debating his acceptance, before asking for a spell. By the time Spider Man's actions started taking place, all there was for Strange to remember, was that a spell was happening that he was trying to fix, while dealing with Spider Man. That's the same kind of effect he explained when he asked Wong, in the beginning, if he remembered about some party that took place, and Wong said,"What party?"

42:00 the way I see it, an incursion is something that effects a specific universe within the multiverse. The TVA reset the timeline to the sacred timeline wherever they go with their reset charges so any incursion damage is moot. This is the same reason the Avengers meddling in 2012 events has no impact.

Erik missed something: Strange saying "Fantastic Four. Didn't you guys chart in the 60s?" isn't a reference to _The Beatles_ it's a reference to the actual band called The Fantastic Four that charted in the 60s. The first Doctor Strange movie showed that he used his photographic memory to memorize songs and artists as well as the years their works released or charted.

Evidently with the Point of Divergence almost reach the barrier of Sacred Timeline which led the TVA came to take them away to prevent the Nexus Event to happen. What do you mean they didn't create a significant impact? Loki and Sylvie, two Variants of the same person being together on Lamentis-1 already caused a significant impact where a Point of Divergence occurred on that Apocalyptic Event itself. It's the reason why the TVA came to that Apocalyptic Event to take them away, to prevent the Nexus Event to happen. Along with Mobius deduced that it was because Loki had a thing on Sylvie. What If episode 4 when Ancient One splitted Strange into two different people proved that it doesn't need two established universes to cause an Incursion because both Strange existed within the same universe. This movie showed that the process of Incursion didn't happen right away, it's slowly building up. A tiny sign of an Incursion was shown just by having Scarlet Witch possessed Wanda. Also, there seems to be an Incursion happened where we didn't even see it on screen and that's where Clea came to meet Strange.

There were a couple similarities with other raimi films in some of the scenes: 1. Captain carter death mimics green goblin’s death, being killed by her own shield 2. Wanda sacrificing herself and crumbling the structure reminds me alot of doc ock sacrificing himself and destroying the machine 3. Strange fixing the watch and walking down the street all happy and sun shining on him reminds me of the raindrops keep falling on my head scene in spiderman 2, with peter fixing his bike and thinking that he found happiness and got his life all together Here are just some cool things i noticed, they could be coincidental but i think theyre cool

I think the movie explores really well closure and healing. The movie reveals that Strange was actually broken from the beginning because of his sister, explaining why he feels the need to control everything, and after seeing what caused America Chavez to also lose herself across the multiverse as a child he sees both himself and his sister in her. Sge literally causes him to confront the darkest sides of himself. Explaining why he is able to heal himself (as represented by the watch by the end) because his real wounds are beginning to heal. Wanda also has to learn that she can't control everything and that she would be causing the same pain she going through to herself an the people around her. Everything is out of control, no one has a grasp on their lives. There's a meaning to their chaos.

In endgame they created a different timeline within the same universe which was then repaired by creating a causal Loop. In the Loki series the TVA all possible universes along a singular flow of time so that multiple branching timelines across different universes wouldn't cause them to collide with each other. The DVA were keeping all universes separate and parallel so that the interaction between universes that allowed Kang the Conqueror to come to be could not happen

Am I the only one who thinks that Wanda DEFINITELY isn’t dead? From everything that we get in the movie, I’m honestly thinking she’s just at the beginning of how messed up she’s going to be in the MCU. Remember, during the film she says ‘I was born to rule everything. But I don’t want that. I just want my kids.’ Well, just before her ‘sacrifice’ she’s shown that she can’t have her kids. They’re terrified of her. Despite what she’s been saying the entire film to the contrary, she IS a monster. And I honestly think with the corruption the Darkhold has on her, she’s just going to embrace that fact. Also remember, in Wanda and Strange’s first conversation in the movie, she says that the ‘hex was the easy part. The lying was difficult’. Wanda removes the necessity to lie by ‘sacrificing’ her life; I think the tower falling is definitely a hex. She fakes her own death, and destroys every copy of the Darkhold in every universe. But does she? Honestly, I think she destroys all except ONE. Eliminating every threat throughout the multiverse, dreamwalking into the body of a Wanda in a separate universe and taking the powers of the only existing Darkhold in the multiverse all for herself. Without her kids, she is embracing the fact that she was born to rule / destroy the cosmos. My theory is that by the end of all this multiverse stuff in the MCU, Wanda is going to be the one pulling the strings behind Kang the Conqueror. Kang is just the tool Wanda is using to systematically invade the cosmos until her abilities grow to an unstoppable degree.

Why would you think that you're the only one? Everybody KNOWS she isn't dead. Not only didn't we see a body, but they would never killing Scarlett Witch who has so many storylines connecting the fox and mcu universes together. Obviously also because this whole phase is mostly her going wild, not to mention that she'll probably appear in Agatha House of Harkness and in future movies. They haven't resolved anything with Vision and they would never kill off such an important so half heartedly. I couldn't be more 100% sure that she isn't dead.

I think the kids are always shown watching TV because that's Wanda's happy place; which we now know is the reason why her Hex conjured tv shows. In WandaVision, the ending scenes (when things were still "happy") were always Wanda and Vision watching tv before going to bed. Watching TV together seems like a family tradition Wanda would pass on to her kids.

Remember that the multiverse was bolted down into the "sacred timeline" prior to the ending of Loki. So the End Game events can't cause incursions since everything is essentially on lock down.

Incursion VS Convergence is somewhat easy to understand in the context of the mcu. Destabilising the barriers between Multiverses causes a ripple effect which causes what they’re calling an “INCURSION” - One universe colliding with another. The Convergence is what happened in Thor The Dark World. Realms colliding. What the Avengers did in endgame wouldn’t result in a Incursion cause they travelled through time within their universe. All the did was create a branched timeline within their universe. But then again that’s when the events of Loki convolutes things and it desperately needs fixing.
