YES! I myself, but also a lot of people I know of have so many questions about this topic. I have seen a lot of videos from actual hairdressers but the choices they give as an option are always hair salon brands and almost always quite expensive. I have 4c hair and do not use oils on my scalp only on the body of hair to lock in moisture. Once a month I use Aztec clay to wash my hair and scalp. A flaky scalp that plagued me for years is no longer an issue.

I experienced COVID that lasted around 12 days. I thought I was fine but I started to notice a loss of more hair than normal. Following some research, I am realizing it’s from the stress my body went through during that time period and also due to the shampoo I had been using. It's so strange because I wasn't using anything in my scalp due to recommendations from KZbinrs add my scalp was so dry and flaky, then the itching and irritation began. As soon as I put rosemary oil in my scalp it calmed down. Now I don't know what to do because I just want my hair to be healthy.

I use the Mielle rosemary oil blend and honestly my hair looks thicker and healthier since I've been oiling my scalp with it for the past 8-12 months. If irritation is the issue, I don't see a problem with continuing to use it if we specifically don't experience said irritation. Also, I've seen two Black women with thick, healthy, tailbone and waist length hair who use that same oil on their scalp regularly. I'm gonna listen to my scalp/hair. I've used some oils on my scalp that irritated/scared me, so I just stopped using them. But this one hasn't so far and it helped me reach waist length.

Nice! I never used these kinds of oils before other than Argan. I have poker straight, fine bobbed hair without any volume, so I never really used oils before as my hair gets limp very fast and I have to use lots of hair sprays and styling products. But I started using the olaplex oil mixed in with the olaplex leave in conditioner and love this combo. The oil is lighter than other oils I used before like the kerastase diamond oil, coconut, Moroccan oil and Tsubaki oil which are the only other ones I used, but were too thick/heavy for my hair. Amika seem to have released a new hair oil which I was thinking of buying, as I love their products.

You should always use a carrier oil with rosemary oil on my hair is growing beautifully and now touches my back side with using it, so don’t knock, rosemary oil. Secondly, add oil, avocado. It’s full of protein which is good for the hair always use a light carrier oil and warm it in your hands and gently stroked the hair at the bottom first and squeeze the oil in. Do not rub it in and lastly, gently scoop up your hair and put it into a silk cap to sleep and next morning wash your hair once to get the oil out and second wash is to cleanse the scalp
