I have a theory, the doctor said there's a Twist at the end. In the credits of this episode, the Tealady actress name is Susan Twist. She is the same actress who played Mrs Merridew in the Newton opening for Wild Blue Yonder. This has to mean something

The One Who Waits was mentioned by the Toymaker in The Giggle in the scene where he says he put the Master in his gold tooth - the Toymaker ran away and hid from it. But we've also had a couple of mentions of The Oldest, who I guess is the one who created the Toymaker and his legion in the first place. Lots of mysteries!

7:57 yeah if you listen to Maestro’s laugh it’s the same as The Toymaker’s. You actually hear an echo of The Toymaker’s laugh immediately after.

i agree i think we are going to meet the "gods" thats are part of the Pantheon that the Toymaker and Maestro are part of. Probably not all the same season but my guess is that The Oldest One is on the top of that Pantheon. Also Maestro is probably going to come back at some point because their Harbinger is still around at the end. Their job is basically trying to bring them back.

no, ep 4 73 yards is the one rtd said was the best thing he's written. ep 3 id Boom written by moffatt. licencing the Beatles music would cost a fortune. but the whole dance number for no narrative reason destroyed both both episodes for me - it felt wrong. whereas space babies felt like a redo mix of the end of the world & aliens of london - he's just redoing his greatest hits.
