Unfortunately though they didn't go through with it. Interestingly enough though, towards the end of a song being played at the start of the 2012 Olympics, the sound of the Tardis could be heard though people speculate that was just part of the song. Though funny enough, Matt Smith (the 11th Doctor before being given the role) did run with the Olympic torch, so in a sense the Doctor did actually run with the torch in real life.

I know it's not the greatest episode, but I still have such a soft spot in my heart for it. Especially how they show the Doctor was a dad once before he even says it to Rose. The fatherly way he talks to the Isolus, how he knows to ask Trish what her method of calming her daughter when she's had a bad dream is, were all great and subtle ways to show that, yes, the Doctor had children at one time long, long ago.

Y'ALL DONT EVEN KNOW THE BEST PART- The best part about this episode was when David Tenant run with the torch. Because then in real life during the real London Olympics Matt Smith (the next doctor) ran with the torch. IT CAME FULL CIRCLE.

The Doctor's family isn't something that's ever really explored in Doctor Who. Beyond Susan (his granddaughter, who isn't adopted), we never see or hear about any of his family. It's a bit of a sensitive subject for the Doctor.

DUCKGMR we're getting into spoiler territory now also she only may be the Doctor, it'snup to the audience to decide who she is, personally I don't think she is simply because that's a hint to the Doctor's past and I prefer the Doctor's past to stay as much of a mystery as possible which is also why I believe the child in Listen is not him and is actually the Master .

Eric Mishima I should say that for the most part I like every doctor who episode, although some instead of like I'd say satisfied, the only episode that I could say that I actually don't like is listen, and kill the moon because of the ending (everything else in kill the moon was ok good or even great, but the ending just ruined it)

If you are going to watch the TV show, 'Torchwood' (and I definitely recommend it as a very different show to 'Doctor Who'. Don't think that your opinion of one will reflect your opinion of the other), start it after the Series 2 finale. i.e.: Doctor Who S2 Ep13 Torchwood S1 Ep1 Doctor Who 2006 Christmas Special Torchwood S1 Ep2 Doctor Who S3 Ep 1 etc. until you finish 'Torchwood' Series 1. Then wait until after the 'Doctor Who' Series 3 finale to start 'Torchwood' Series 2. That is if you want to alternate episode. You could equally alternate between the series (i.e. Doctor Who S2, Torchwood S1, Doctor Who S3, Torchwood S2, Doctor Who S4, Torchwood S3, Doctor Who: The 2008 - 2010 Specials, Torchwood S4)

Listening to you explain ions what ions are was painful. Ions are particles with positive or negative charge. Neutrons have no charge....they are neutral. A molecules charge is determined by the number of electrons in its outer valence. Oxygen has a net negative charge of 2, so it binds 2 hydrogen particles as each has a net positive charge of 1.... that's how you get H2O. Ambient particles in air and water contain metals that may have negative or positive net charges. Dust is an overarching term to include metal and salt compunds, and dead skin cells.
