This is good on multiple levels. The Silence are dedicated to destroying him by any means necessary but even they believe he is fundamentally a good person. Yet he, who has dedicated his entire life to helping people believes that at his core he isn't a good person.......what kind of a man must you be where your enemies see the truth of you yet you can't see it yourself.

I really hope J. Michael Straczynski takes over as showrunner after Chibnall leaves. By some accounts, JMS kicked off long arcs in modern sci-fi with Babylon 5 in the mid-90s. That show had a five-year long arc.

He created River but most of it was tacked on afterwards it’s not a big long plan. He didn’t even know she was going to be Amy and Rory’s daughter until he started writing series 6. He literally just adds a load of mystery and buzzwords and references and then makes sure he writes them in at a later date. I love her story for the most part but it’s not really as complicated and clever as it seems

I LOVE watching people’s first reaction to this episode. The stunned look. Then the eyes cut to the side while they start thinking. Then the stuttering “but wait, what, but that means. Then the acceptance and finally “wow”. So cool and so much fun to watch.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the series. I love how all the people The Doctor has helped for the past season and a half came back to help him. This was up there with Family of Blood for scary Doctor.I loved Missy's Cheshire cat grin as she watched Holly's reactions to the big twists. Holly's reactions didn't disappoint either.

River couldn’t reveal who she was to Team TARDIS until she was born in their timeline because if they knew it could’ve affected the way they did certain things that could’ve potentially lead to her not being born. She had to be born and taken before she could appear at Demons Run. She knows her personal history and that it had to happen a very certain way.

Great reaction! When I watched this episode, I was immediately reminded of the last words Idris said to Rory in The Doctor's Wife. Rory: Sorry. At the end, she was talking. She kept repeating something. I don't know what it meant. Doctor: What did she say? Rory: The only water in the forest is the river. She said we'd need to know that someday. It doesn't make sense, does it? Doctor: Not yet.

Yes, we met River Song earlier than Amy, because River Song travels in reverse to Doctor. When they met for the first time River died and my assumption mid 7th Season is that last time we see River is when the Doctor dies
