May be im young at my 28 having MS but truely with your words it gives another strength as everyday is hard to start with positive thoughts ☹️

It took me 15 years to get diagnosed - I just turned 40. As much as it sucks, I’m glad yours got caught fairly early so you have that much more time to pre-empt it and kick it in the butt. You got this. ❤

I just wanted to share and doubt that it will be of any encouragement but my wife has progressive multiple sclerosis and it started at the age of 11.So don't give up or feel sad.This illness or disease,feeds on the negative.Its hard,I see my wife struggles everyday day ,breaks my heart but it's a must to stay positive

I love your information but I question the more effort thing I agree with you that effort and consistency are extremely important. However, I am truly looking for ease and I don’t know that I want to train my brain to think it needs to exert extreme effort every time I want it to move my body. I have a lot of spinal lesions and have lived with this for 21 plus years🤷‍♀️. 🙏

You speak a lot about your brain and MS I have MS and I suffer from lesions on my spinal cord. I never really hear you speak about how to repair spinal cord damage so what do we do for those people and how do we give them? Hope it just seems😢 like a, losing battle to me at this point now, hearing about all the good results and repairing your brain

I've got spinal cord lesions as well, and they stop me from walking properly. There are treatments on the horizon for demyelination [Nervgen] however, as of now there isn't a magic wand to repair these lesions - only treatments to slow the progression of them. Just try your best with exercise, aerobic and strength training to stop further deterioration.

I have a full chapter in my book on neuroplasticity and what that means for brain lesions vs. spinal lesions. The very short summary is this: there’s less research on neuroplasticity for spinal lesions but researchers and neurologists feel people with spinal lesions will have a similar effect to those with brain lesions.
